I think in Berrigan and Houghton, you would have one of the strongest hooker rotations in Super League.

| As others are saying, further evidence tonight that the rest of the team are simply not on Berrigan's wavelength. With the right team around him he could have been one of the best players we've seen in SL.

Definately agree in a different team Berrigan would have gone down as one of the best imports in the game.

| I think the backline next season should be:-
Sharp
Yeaman
Berrigan
Briscoe
Looks strong to me that.
Use the off season to develop Washy as a hooker.

I'm liking that a lot.
I'd be liking it even more with Greenshields behind them.

Not sure who you were watching. I've been unhappy with Berrigan ever since he got here mainly because he hasn't given value for the big money he's on but last night he was our only creative player. O'meley and Fitz I'm afraid were bullied by KR's pack and occasionally backs. They lost most collissions, offensive and defensive and looked tired and old. Moa was far more effective than O'Meley last night. The cult status these , admittedly hard working , players have is ridiculous. Playing Fitz as an extra prop at 13 doesn't help him I'm sure but we need more than hard graft from Marquee players. KR and other SL teams have plenty of supposedly inferior Aussies who many haven't heard of before they arrive here who are much more effective than our "stars". Yet again it's our poor strategy with new signings and retention that leaves us effectively having to take who ever is available as opposed to the player/position that we need. KR outclassed us last night in at least 10 positions on the field. They were missing several players too including both centres and have Mason and the aussie half - name escapes me - coming in. Other teams have strengthened too but we look to be , yet again , in a position where we have little choice other than to offer extensions to players who would struggle to command a place elsewhere. Those extensions then push further away the time when we can really make major changes to the personnel that will be radical enough to change the culture and our chance of punching our weight.

| Berrigan to me is wasted at centre. He's our best player and deserves to be in the middle, I'd personally move Fitz to prop and Berro to 13, he's a class act and we need him as involved as possible.
Not sure about Washy to hooker either, everytime he touches the ball our attack stops dead so not sure about the wiseness of moving him to the position that gets their hands on the ball the most.

Oh dear. The reason he went inside was to avoid been bundled into touch, he gave the ball to Lyne when he was about to get hit so we could have a chance of him making a break. Massive mistake in keeping him? When did we have the option to get rid? My goodness, this is one of the most ill informed posts I've ever read on here (and that's saying something).

He should not have passed, he saw the referee wave all on, he should have taken the tackle and set us up for another 5 plays, Lyne was hung out to dry.

Maybe on that occasion he should have but on all the other occassions the pass was on. What gets me is he's having a go at Berro for passing to Lyne but I bet he's the type of person who'd crucify Yeamo for not ever passing to his winger. Typical Hull fan, Fickle as.

I maybe mis-read, I was talking about that single occasion, most of the time Berrigan picks his passes well.

I think you are been harsh here because we have been crying out all year for our centres to give the winger early ball in space and thats what Berro did. Unfortunately Lyne did not see or realise the ref had wiped the tackle down which I suppose could happen to any player.

Agree totally looked a class apart again and as I said last week nice to see a proper centre playing for us. By his own recent standards Houghton was disappointing last night but Berro should stay where he is now.

Houghton is suffering from over playing.
I suspect in both the Leeds game and last night Washy was supposed to spell him but injury and a sending off dictated otherwise.
Houghton has developed and progressed really well in 2010 and will only get better.

I think in the next couple of years or so you will see the hooker rotation die out, it's happening in Aus and will happen here, yes he is wasted but we need Berro in the centres next year to stand a chance, simply because our backs are so poor and we have no new signings on the horizon in this area.
