is the idea of playing Hall at fullback in a high pressure game. He was hardly tested there against Wire, and if Leeds have any sense, they'll pepper him all night. I don't think he's got what it takes to withstand that and, whilst I accept it's not ideal playing Horne at FB, it's the best of two less than ideal options.'"
We have been crying out for halves all season so to me there is not a chance that Horne will play fullback and rightly so as he is not that good there anyway.
Hall did a good job against Wire.

I agree I would start with Berro and bring Houghton on against a tired defence. Houghton's come on loads this season but to keep expecting him to play 80 mins is silly imo. I think it's shown in the last few matches that it's not the way to go.

In a no pressure game were he was seldom tested. We all know Hall has the skillset but what he doesn't have is the mentality and IMO he would crumble on Saturday.

| I'd be staggered if Horne played full back after all the talk of him and Longy only playing together four times so far.

| Although I would'nt want it, I can see people's views on having Horne at F/B. The risk on playing Hall is high and Horne would theoretically be a safer bet.
But, would you want to break up the possibility of Long/ Horne partnership?
I would put Berro on the bench and put him on late like against Saints - a great move.

This is entirely the point. He didn't have one difficult high ball to take under pressure against Wire - something those who are saying how well he did seem to forget. They missed a trick in not exposing him (maybe because Briers wasn't playing). I don't think Leeds will be so kind and we could be in for a long night. He has had the odd decent game there in the past, so he might surprise us. It's a huge gamble though, given some of the nightmares he's had at FB and his mental weakness when he makes an early mistake.

He might not be [ithat[/i good, but he's a better bet than Hall. He could still play as a halfback in attack anyway.

You don't know this. Anyway since when has Horne been Mr safety at fullback.
Horne should and will play at 6.

We'll see. IMO it'd be a big mistake to play at him full back. If he does play I really hope he has a top game though.

That's the 17 (assuming Horne is fully fit). Only decision to make is who to start with out of Berrigan and Houghton IMO. With Berrigan's recent form I'd lean towards him and let Houghton come on against tiring opposition.

Houghton's form has been much better when he has started.
The Horne thing is a tough one, I really want Horne and Long to play at halfback to get an understanding before the play offs and Tansey will be abck next week at FB, but I really don't want Hall to play FB, not one bit of faith in him , decent game last week, but thats Hall all over good one week and shocking the next, hopfully he will prove me wrong this week as I can see him starting at FB.

I can see the merits in both, either way Houghton must not do the full 80 mins at hooker.
Another option would be Washy off the bench as a hooker and Berrigan in the centres and drop Turner who has been very average of late, woud help Lyne too.

My one area of concern is Jordan Turner especially on recent form. The option of putting Berro there would certainly tighten up the side defensively given that the Leeds left hand side notoriously score tries against us!
That said I dont think for one minute this change will happen but I could see some benefit to it.
