Good signing have been impressed with him against us and on TV. Feel bad for Calders who I always rated as the most enthusiastic player we had even in the darkest of times, however wingers and dodgy hammies don't mix well.

Great signing ! Would have liked Meli but Sharp is certainly a longer term and potentially a better signing.

Who's next ? Fielden, Mason, a HB and a SR/centre please !!

Good signing. Would have preferred Meli if it was just a stand in till Reece Lyne however the potential 3-year contract is hopefully a single of intent to moving Briscoe to the centres. An all English back line of;

Good signing of a young player who already has more than 2 seasons worth of experiance in him. I would like to see this signing as a catylist for Briscoe being played at Centre with Lyne and Whiting competing for the other wing spot.

Add Jordan Turner to compete for the centre spot aswell

I don't understand all the Briscoe to centre comments? He's made his name and played internationally as a winger, why would we move him inside? He's scored 13 tries for us this year (despite the service not being that good) out there, has the pace and defense, his runs inside our own 20m are freakishly strong - why move him?

I wouldn't say his footwork or handling skills are particularly strong? Yes, probably better than Yeaman's

, but better than Craig Hall? His defense and positioning are pretty good and will get better.

I'm just of the opinion that if it's not broken, don't fix it. I've not seen much of him at centre, so maybe I've not picked up on these skills as he's not had much chance to showcase them in the first team.

Very pleased with this, looked the best OOC wing option all season IMO. Strongly disagree with those who would have preferred Meli, Sharp's pros outweigh Meli's IMO and he'll be much, much better value in all likelihood.

Maybe he can bring a friend with him too.

lynne not ready yet, agree i would like to see briscoe in the centres but for now im happy with him on the wing.
as for sharp well hes a direct replacement for calderwood, calders unfourtuntly has had serious injury problems and with him reaching 30 soon and with 2 hamstring tears in the last 2 years i think sharp is a great replacement as hes young,fast and also makes great yards aswell coming from your own 20 which is important bit like briscoe does.hopefully this signing will have an positive effect on lms coming aswell. heard that bradford,huddersfield were looking at him, also saints were looking at him last season

I must admit, one of my first thoughts was if this would help us persuade LMS to come to the KC (assuming the club are trying). Sharp is potentally an excellent signing, he'll be on far less dosh than Meli would have wanted, younger and hopefully therefore less injury prone and give us some long term stability. The best thing about our potential back line isn't just the fact that they're English (or in Sharp's case Nigerian!) it's the fact that they're young!
