I don't get the Mail's talk about a testimonial.

As far as I'm aware, Radford is not due a club testimonial as he hasn't got 10 year's service - even if you added his first spell at the club.

The only testimonial he could get is a general one from the RFL for 300 first team appearances during his entire career, so presumably he could apply for this wherever he plays next season.

Agree there and to be honest think even another year is pushing it for him but he has earnt a final year for me.



Just what I was thinking, I always thought that a testimonial is due and quite rightly to any player who gives 10 years straight service to a club, so in all fairness he should have another 6 years to go.

He he wants more than a 1 year deal then I would say thanks and let him go to a club who is offering him it.

Agreed. I doubt he'd even contemplate a move if he was due a 10 year Hull testimonial. Only a idiot would do that....

Radders is the type of player that you would want in the trenches with you, not in the opposition's.
give him the contract his performances have deserved.

I'm pretty sure that there is some sort of special dispensation in his case - something to do with continued service to RL and returning to his first club.... balh blah. Think I have my facts straight

Isn't it Yeamo's testimonial year next year? Wouldn't that mean Radders would have to wait til 2012 for it or would they move Yeaman's testimonial back a year?

If he was granted one of those he would still lose a packet if he came to HKR rather than stay at the KC. I couldn't see many FC or KR fans going out of their way to put into his fund whereas if he stayed with you he'd certainly get more people wanting to give.

Radders is meeting with James Rule today so i would expect an announcement one way or another to be imminent.

TBF I think Radders has his life pretty much sorted. He has earnt good money for most of his career and has invested it wisely. A testimonial would be a bonus but not a necessity particularly if Rovers offer him two years as opposed to Hulls one.

I dont think that the testimonial money would cover the wage cut that Hull have offered him thus far.

I know that he was in with Rule today and i know the percentage wage cut of the offer that Hull currently have on the table for him. Its not something i usually make a habit of speculating on but in this instance i am reasonably confident i am right.

How will he know what an alternative contract from Rovers would be worth at this stage?

Suppose he would just take a chance like Cooke did...
