i agree with that .i remember when you where struggling that season you brought about 2000 to kc on a suday afternoon ,i was sat near ur supporters in west north end ,my lad was playing in an under 8 game at halftime ,you where getting stuffed but sang all the way throught the game ,and give the little ones a great cheer when they ran by you all at half time ,i thought then wigan have great support ,like our selfs some of the best in the game ,wire are a little club in comparison who never bring hardly any supporters unless theres a free bus no passion ,they have the best team they have had in years and carnt break 10k regular Wigan over wire for me the pies are better as well lol

Firstly its a much safer place for away fans than Warrington. Going to the old Wilderspool could be quite scary, not in the ground which was fine, but between the car and the ground. Rather than going for a drink somewhere before the match it would usually be a case of straight in an out.

Secondly at the 2005 Challenge Cup Final I remember seeing a group of Wigan fans and on the back of their shirts it said "Wigan for ever, Hull for today".

you have bought players under contract from other clubs, don't have to breach the cap, but the majority if not all other sl clubs aren't in a position to spend money like wire can and do.

Why people are picking Wigan I really don't know.

Warrington play a sweet brand of rugby though and love him or hate him Briers is always quality to watch. Can't stand Tony Smith though, something has gone missing in that gene pool. His brother is the most open, accessable bloke ever and he can't even look anyone straight in the eye. Yeah, we've had fun and games at wilderspool and even at the Halliwell with regards to fan behaviour but Wigans fans lack originality these days. Have a look at their flags tonight, all rip-offs of Man U and Liverpool slogans, same with their chants. Then again spose that I had to add to their gay wigan wigan drone somehow.

Wigan for me as i have family there.

Wigan for me! I too used to hate them but only cos they used to tonk us all the time but at the same time they were an amazing team remember them having 13 players in the GB team once. They didn't go about things the right ways back then tho.

However now Wigan are a club all clubs should aspire to in terms of their youth development. Look around SL and NL clubs and I bet there are more players from the Wigan area than any other area. As much as we'd like to think Hull is the No.1 hotbed for producing rugby league players it isn't. IMO Wigan has consistenly produced quality players and will continue to do so.

Here in Hull we seem to have amateur youth teams who are up there with the best in the country yet when you look at the number of players who turn out to be SL regulars it isn't that many. Wigan seem to have a real knack of developing the potential in players.

IIRC, Leeds are the only team with no former Wigan players.

Isnt this more to do with the Fact that Hull and Wigan have off the field success with crowds, Youth development and good stadiums, but havent recently had much on the field success?

Ill never forget the Hull fan at the CC final in 2003 who said he would be shouting for Wigan, even though he is sat in the Saints end!
