Morgan was quite generous in his praise of Agar's tactics tonight on RH. As I said on the Rovers board tonight, that's 3 times this season Agar's outwitted Morgan. Hope we don't meet in the play-offs as by the law of averages Rovers are due a lucky win.

Tonight we seemed to have a game plan and stick to it for all but the 5 minutes after the double sin binning when we were 20 10 up and had chances to put the game to bed or at the very least maintain the pressure on Rovers. All in all a GREAT NIGHT AT THE KC. Thank you FC. Even the John Smiths Smooth in Hastings on the way home tasted OK.

I really critisied him last week but his selections bench and tactics were spot on he completely out witted Morgan and I guess if we praise the players he takes some plaudits too. But for a few bombed cahnce we would have won easily, still if you keep going you win the end

Credit were credits due, team selection spot looked far better with washy a ball playing 13, thats all i ask that he plays with a bit of width changes things around when he needs too, well done

Not sure why people suddenly think we played with a ball playing LF last night? Washy played like a running LF and did very little "ball playing".

Exactly. He's a much better player when he doesn't have to worry about ball playing.

Fair enough! I wasn't trying to be humorous, I just meant that ball playing isn't one of his natural strengths and putting him in a position where it's kind of integral does him no favours.

I know, but the calls on here for Agar to stop playing a third prop and to use a ball-handler (often quoting Washbrook) at 13 are so numerous that it was funny when he was used that he didn't really play that sort of a game. Personally, I would suggest that Whiting would be a better ball-playing 13 (if Agar decided to adopt that approach - which I don't think he will).

Agreed. I don't know where he intends to play Whiting next season. He's had too good a year this year to be left out, but I wonder whether he'll play centre, second row, stand off or loose. Suppose it will depend on who gets injured and when.

Offers more ball playing than Fitz who is a prop basically. It also meant we had two proper pivots in the halves aswell as Washy which meant the onus was not on him. We look a much better side with Washy at 13.

No doubt Washy is a far better 13 than 6 but he did very little, if any, ball playing last night. The problem Agar has is that Tickle and Fitz are pretty much 80 minute players so how do you get Manu or Hame any gametime?

Well done Agar !! Finally you've realised that Washbrook is not a halfback and Tansey is our best option there. Whiting is a solid FB and Danny Houghton should play for as long as he possibly can.

Washy playing at LF would play 80 minutes.

Tickle almost always plays 80 minutes without any massive drop off in performance and the same could be said of Fitz. Manu usually plays a good 70 minutes or so.

Tickle, Fitz and Manu are massively important players for us and the more minutes they can be on the pitch the better IMO. I do agree that Washy is far better at 13 but how do we get those 3 players in? Add hame into the equation and in theory you would have Tickle, Manu and Fitz only doing about 40 minutes a game.
