Its written in the stars that you will finish 5th, Rovers will then somehow (not quite sure how yet, give me time!) scrape 8th and its a play off game at your place. And I will be in bloody Cyprus and miss it.

We should be aiming at getting better results than Bradford and Huddersfield and possibly sneaking fourth.

The key is 7/12 games are at home. With some fresh players to come back as well as slight point sadvantage it would be very disappointing to let Bradford and Hudds above us. Bradford still have to go to wigan and saints and play Hudds after the cup round. Hudds gave still got to go to Wigan Saints and Leeds as well as Bradford. No excuse for not finishing top 6 in my book.

last two games could be interesting, warrington away, leeds home, both those teams could be the cup finalists inbetween those fixtures, possibly players rested by wirebefore the final if they got there and a cup hangover for leeds!

Everybody seems pretty damn sure that the games against Rovers, Wakefield, Crusaders, Quins, Salford & Catalans are shoe-ins. The problem with Hull, as we are all too aware, is that we will almost certainly have a bad afternoon or night when we least expect it against at least one of those sides above. We had three of those days in the first half of the season (Crusaders, Salford & Quins) and its a fair chance we will have at least one more. Of course, this could be counter-balanced by wins against the likes of Leeds or Warrington.

In a league which is becoming harder to predict with each passing week, we are one of the hardest teams to predict what we are going to do from one week to the next. Making assumptions about our team is a pretty risky business, mainly due to the fact it has a habit of leading us straight into a car crash.

Personally, I think we will probably be somewhere in the 5th-7th area which is better than being 11th/12th (ala 2009/10). Anything less than 26pts would be disappointing in my eyes. Anything above 30pts would have to be considered highly satisfactory. Anything inbetween 26-30pts par for the course.

I reckon we should realistically be looking to win those I've marked with a win. We should be aiming for at least 6 more wins to take us 30 points but with a bit of luck with injuries between now the end of the season we could end up with more points than that. Think we can finish 6th but would be happy with play off rugby again.

Dont know why people are so negative for hudds there playing well bellow par at the minute.

Gives Leeds a total of 33 points (35 if they beat us last game of the season)

If I stick by my original pessimistic predictions that gives us a total of 32 points but I've got us losing all 3 games against Leeds, Hudds and Bradford. This would probably have us finishing 7th.

Again I think I've been quite generous to the 3 teams below us and quite pessimistic about our games so things could look even better than that. I think the games against those 3 teams will have a massive effect on where we finish in the league and need targetting as important fixtures. Looking at how the season is panning out 6th should be the minimum we are looking at IMO.

Hows things stand now

I've said all season it will be 5th and 6th for the Hull clubs, looking more likely 6th & 7th now but at least we will get a home game in the play offs

If we continue in our current vein of form you'll get the two points at Odsal, no doubt.

leeds and Wire have a date of destiny a little way in front that will take their eyes of the game plan as it does to all clubs

i think 5th now with longy out but if we can get everyone else back and have some luck with injuries then theres doubt we can still finish in the top 4 but knowing our luck i woundt count on it.

Think we will be lucky to hang on to a top 6 spot now.
