Do you think he is better than either Prescott, Briscoe or Motu who have been our most FBs because i dont?

Closely followed by Shaun Briscoe heading the ball into touch at the Galpharm last week, that made me chuckle.

Tansey had one of those days were nothing was coming off for him but credit the kid for trying! Next time leave the kicking game to Horney might be the sound advice.

Totally different kind of full back to any of those because we use him as a ball handling pivot. The first two youve named are more traditional type of full backs.

Tansey has been at the centre of pretty much everything we've done good this season and looks a great prospect imo. Some people seem to just want him to do a Prekkie and run it back elusively every time he receives a kick at pace, thats not Tanseys game he has other qualities.

I am a fan of Tansey, give me an exciting full back over a "safe" one any day. However, on the whole he was poor last night, it seems like he thinks he has to try the master play all the time with Long missing. If he just gets back to his normal game and comes into the line like he does so well then I still think he can be a very good signing. He still made us a try out of nothing though and created a few half chances.

I too am a fan. I did say a few weeks ago though that our one dimensional attack from the same wrap around move would become predictable. Maybe it has?

The lead up to the Whiting try which Tansey created was actually on because Blanch had read the wide ball on the left to Tansey in the first place.

I said from game one that Tansey looks a great prospect , has tons of flair but sadly has no backbone!!
how many times is the lad going to chicken out of a high kick collect under pressure before the coaching team see it too!!!
how many times is he going to run like a rabbit back and forth and then end up being tackled where he started from , how many times is he going to collect kicks and run at the oncoming defenders like a freight train to then stop right in front of them and crumple like a tit!!

He has tons of flair with ball in hand cutting in and out but makes tons of wrong calls, is in my opinion a total coward under the high kicks as we have seen so many times this year !!!

The kick was a shocker but we've seen plenty of those in recent seasons. It concerned me more that he didn't get to the up and under that was a FB bread and butter. I would play him in the halves when we are short.

Last night wasnt great for Tansey but the kid has loads of potential. Dont forget he only started playing full back permanently last year so moving him around to different positions may not be in his best interest.

One things for sure Hull's attack looks far more potent and unpredictable with Tansey in the line up.

FFS the kid took a wrong option, how many times in recent weeks has he been the one taking the right option and creating tries! He has done well since coming to Hull and yes he has his flaws and takes the odd wrong decision but he has added an extra dimension at fullback and plays with great enthusiasm.

overall,has done well,since arriving here.would like to see him run at the opposition a bit more,when coming out of defence,and also who's the defence coach(moore).needs help with the high kicks,we all know that.but we will get better.

Think Tansey's made a good start for us. Always looks keen and a threat with ball in hand. If we had any cover at FB I'd play him in the halves at the moment. But we don't, unless Whiting goes FB and Tuffour plays on the wing.
