| Agar appears not to drop players who are not hitting their straps, not sure who will miss out tbh..if it is form it should be Houghton.

IMO we have to put Tansey back to FB, his form has been excellent and I can't see how we can leave arguably the best British FB in the league out.

| But Houghton played a lot better on friday when coming on for Berro than he has in recent games. However a reserve hooker is a luxury we can sacrifice if needs must.
No matter who makes way (If anybody does) they will be utterly dissapointed because all 17 players stepped up and did the job they were asked to do on friday (well i assume they did) however we know Cas like to spread the ball aboutand kick so we need tighter defence on the wings and for me that would mean Hall or Briscoe dropping out and Whiting taking their place.
Harsh on either of them but sometimes you need to do what is best for the team.

Maybe he is doing with Briscoe what he did with Horney, giving him a chance to start hitting his straps (Which paid of for Horney on Friday)
He was quick enough to drop Washy after only one game, who knows how it works!

Also Briscoe is still young and is probably more prone to losing his confidence than Horne should be.
As regards Washy, I think it was fair enough to leave him out. The big one with him is when Fitz misses a game(if he ever does). If he's not put straight in at 13 then it's obvious that he doesn't really fit into Agars style of play and I think he'll move on.

Berro is looking better because he is getting a rest I think!

| Quote ="Mr. Zucchini Head"can you possibly pick the back 7 next week?
Tansey has to come in for me, as well as Whiting played he seemed to get cought in poseession alot when he joined the attacking line. Tansey gives us an extra threat as his speed can get us an extra couple of yard of space. That said Whiting played very well and I don't see how he can be dropped totally. Hall showed why he is the best centre at the club imo, Yeaman looked very strong, Briscoe, despite a couple of mistakes certainly didn't do enough wrong to warrant being dropped and Calderwood, Horne and Turner all had strong games.
So who do you pick next week?
Personally I would bring Tansey straight in for Whiting and put Whiting on the bench for Houghton. I really rate Houghton but we look alot better with Berro on the field and if he is capable of 80 minutes he has to play them imo.
That all said it is a real headache for Agar, allbeit a good one.'"
I was asking myself the same question. On the back of fridays performance I can't see how any of the back line can be dropped, but at the same time can we afford to leave Tansey out again? I know we coped well without him on friday, but in all fairness Harlequins were very poor and hardly troubled us. Castleford will be a totally different proposition, and we will need to be as near to full strength as possible to beat them imo. Personally I would have Tansey back in at full back, and switch Whiting into the halfes at Turners expense. Turner had a good game on friday but I'd be more than happy to leave him out in order to accomodate Tansey.

| Tansey must come back in. Either on the bench instead of Houghton or straight into the backline with Briscoe being "rested".

| I don't think Briscoe should be dropped, he has done very little wrong. He needs to work on his positional play granted but he has worked hard in defence and with ball in hand.

I don't think that he "deserves" to be dropped but if anyone "has" to be rested, then he is probably the only one that could be slightly criticised for his last two games. He has been caught out of position or poor under the high ball on two or three occasions which all resulted in tries. There was also a close call in the corner against the Quins.
If we were to split hairs, he would be the only one that I could find slight fault with.

Unfair on Turner maybe but I had to find a place for Tansey and we'll need him with ball in hand a lot. Moa in for Cusack, just don't rate him. Houghton needs a big performance too.
