Me too. Everyone was on here saying how he needed to sort things out after last week and how it would be a test of his coaching credentials. The team put in a convincing performance this week, but he still deserves no credit? That can't be right, can it?

There's a long way to go yet and a lot of baggage for Agar to shift before he's considered to be a successful coach, but it's a little tiresome when he receives no credit whatsoever when things go right, yet all the blame when they go wrong.

Quins were poor but at least Agar knew things were not right last week and made the changes necessary. Still a long way to go but doing the right things for me at the minute.

Agar picked the right team last night, he was tough but fair with his comments over Tansey and he looks to have sorted out his subsitutions issues.

More of the same to come hopefully, with plenty of selection headaches for him.

Indeed, also good to see him in the stands with Long, Tansey and Moore, 7 and 3/4 eye's are better than 2!

Was good to see how pleased they all were with Fitz's try too.

The thing is, Long,and some pundits rate Agar.There must be something in that. Isn`t there?

Agar picked the correct team last nite although its easy to say that after a win, however, without dwelling on last week too much i do think his team selection against the 'Cru' was the major factor. Turner wouldve done a job last week with Horne at 7. The frustrating part about it is we couldve been 4 from 4 but its time to move on and hopefully we can build on last night and a win next week will give us confidence going into the Wigan game where we dont have the best record against them.

I myself never called for his head last year and was always in mind to see where we were at the end of March this year before I would comment on his future with the club. However I knew he wouldn't let me down.

Well done Rich keep up the good work and the team spirit.

Far too early in the season for people to be crowing about agar. We're actually doing worse points wise than we were at this stage last season

but we appear to be playing for each other, and those little words, pride passion, belief and desire seem to have returned.

Can't question the effort and commitment and it is a lot better than last season, however after only 4 matches no one can really say how things will pan out

We can't say how things will work out either way. Those crowing about Agar at this juncture are just as likely to come up with egg on their faces as those writing him off. He has definitely improved some aspects of his coaching since last season. Whether he has improved sufficiently remains to be seen at the end of the season, but he deserves some credit for the steps made thus far.

Think thats about the fairest assesment i have read so far.

And unless it was completely ghost written, then Longs programme piece was very complimentary too him too

He has improved some aspects of his squad. That has had the biggest bearing.

dont think anyone is saying how things will pan out its too early, but one major thing I have noticed is the commaradarie(sp) amongst the players and the want to play for each other, something sadly lacking the last 2 seasons.

Rich Agar is OUT!

Although the club have not released a statement and do not wish to discuss the issue, sources close to Hull FC have confirmed that Agar may or may not have had half a shandy to celebrate a family wedding, and that he may have stayed out beyond his bedtime at seven o'clock. He will be resigning in due course in shame.

Well done though rich, good performance and for once, what a coach has said may be more than just the usual coaches' idioms.

After last year, both coaches and players probably needed a surprise loss to see how they would respond, and although not intentional, as Rich himself said, and on the basis of the performance against Quins, it probably told us more about the team than straight wins might have done.

That works both ways then, way too early for people to be calling him, wouldn't you agree?

Maybe, although he has shown plenty in the last 2 years to suggest he can't coach so really the need is for him to show otherwise. Fair minded people like myself haven't suggested he should go yet this season or that he should be installed as coach of the year just yet.. Wouldn't you agree?

What I am saying is if it's too early to heap praise then it's too early to slag off.

He has proved nothing yet either way. But normally those that won't give him praise are quick to jump on him after one defeat.

What I'm saying is that I have said all along we won't be able to say much either way untiul well into the season which is why I haven't been swinging from the treetops when we've won or slitting my wrists when we lose.
