Is there some other Houghton around? Because the one currently playing for us is miles away from being any kind of replacement for Berrigan.

Totally agree, some people have got far too carried away with Houghton and tipping him for GB etc.

i wouldnt say he was a gb player just yet

but he's a "ready made replacement for Berrigan"

Come on Give the lad a break were only 3 games into the season. He looked strong last season which is why most fans were not too bothered about Hodgson leaving !

He is playing pretty much the same way this season as he was last season. Which IMO is not that great. Most fans were probably not that bothered about Hodgson leaving as they had never seen him play at Hooker and the instant you sign for Rovers it makes you crap anyway. I'm not saying Hodgson is better than Houghton by the way but in the best part of 2 seasons I've yet to be overly impressed.

Don't understand the hype about Houghton at all. Looks nothing better than average TBH. Scoots are OK but the rest of his game is poor IMO.

Matt Diskin is off contract, so is McIlorum and Higham. Diskin though would be a great signing.

Don't think Houghton is ever going to be a starting hooker. Always gunna be a Roby type. We'll always need 2 hookers.

You have forgotten one simple fact, Houghton is from Hull. That should make him an instant international player and an FC legend for many on here, regardless of his performances on the pitch.
