We have, IMO, for the first time in many seasons, got a lot to be optimistic about. yes some people can go overboard but our recruitment when compared to recent seasons is nothing short of fantastic

Tansey, Turner, Lauaki, Fitz. O'Meley, Long, Moa etc. compared to the likes of
Cusack, Byrne, Dykes, Hutch, Sing, Blacklock, Radford etc...in previous sesaons.


Add that to the $hite that we have finally got rid of and there is a lot to be optimistic about !!

there is so much quality especially in the pack, i hope agar gets the best out it but given what a numpy he is and the fact we have had a couple of rubbishy seasons what is just as important to me is that the hull board get a seriously good replacement heaven forbid agar cocks it up and needs to go.

for the sake our reputation in the league i hope he plays his cards right and doesn't need sacking because we have been somewhat of a laughing stock at times

It's a great pack on paper and Fitzgibbon will be a superb asset to the club.

The concerns are over Agar's selection and interchanges and of course keeping injuries to a minimum.

Gets stronger that smell every day that they dont sign anyone too.

I think Agar's job will be alot more easier this year given he's offloaded average players and players with attitude problems. Agar isn't all to blame for this mess and I really wish people would see that instead of jumping the gun and blaming him.

Sure he may be out of depth but so far (forget last season and one before that) he has delivered on what we wanted. We wanted a scrum half, check box ticked, we needed major reineforcements to the pack , checkbox ticked and we needed tog et rid of average/unprofessional players ...another checkbox ticked.

And not matter what combination we put out there they looked de-motivated and set up with no tactical game plan at all. It was almost like they'd not even seen each other during the week at training never mind spoken to each other. Agar has proven his inability to do the job last year, im willing to give him the benefit of the doubt and see how next year goes but Agar has been shocking.

No, it was the idiot in the dugout who had no game plan, or interchange ideas, or even professionalism.

Indeed. The side we put out every single game last year was good enough to win if they had been set out correctly by Agar and he had a clue.

I wouldnt say every single game, but a lot of them, mediocrity is celebrated by some people in Hull I am afraid.
