Who knows?
The first thing is to have them all fit. I'm wary of naming a first choice pack for next year due to our injury record of late.
I'm certainly far happier with the [ipotential[/i pack for next year compared to this year's.

| I see in this week's League Express the highly respected Australian journalist Malcolm Andrews says of Craig Fitzgibbon (who scored all of the Roosters 12 points in their loss last weekend):
Quote What a signing Fitzgibbon is for Hull FC in 2010! The best Super League buy in the past five or six seasons, perhaps?'"

On paper it's the best pack in SL. 3 kangaroos and a NZ international. Unfortunately they'll be coached by a complete fukwit so we know how it will turn out

I agree, can say what you want about Agar but he'll have left the team in better shape then he received it if he does leave.

well according to graeme horne & hdm, agar takes control of attack whilst sharp takes responsibility for defenc...in my opinion our defence aint bad but our attack is dire at best

Our defence is shocking and our attack is even worse. I suppose with a bigger pack, agar's 5 drives and a kick tactics may get better results

our defencive problems are mainly down to people such as graeme horne and jodie broughton playing regular footy, both arent the greatest defenders but we have no choice but to play them...
our defencive quality immensly outstrips our attack at the mo..FACT

But our attacking problems can't be put down to no players to run lines/no one to call plays/no one to execute plays?

Spot on, also take into account we don't have any winning mentality and where deep in our problems as a team.

You reckon? How come we've conceded more than 30 points in 4 of our last 6 games and our points difference is minus 78?

| Agree with many comments it does look like a good pack for next season, will be interesting now to see who goes from our current pack.
I have doubts it will be Radford and I would have liked Moa to stay, I think we are going to see good things from him for the rest of the season.

I'm sure we'll see cordoba and moa rip SL up for the rest of the season now we have no overseas spots left

If all the players played to their international/SOO form then possibly yes but those days are gone IMO.
No doubting the pack will have bags of experience and should be solid down the middle of the park, maybe one worry would be, will the pack be mobile enough? e.g. have enough power and pace away from the ruck, yes Manu does it for you guys but can the others(not seen enough of Hame to comment).

It's very rare that a group of players all play to their full potential at the same time but we only need 1/2 the pack to be on their game on any given day and we will be as good as any pack in SL.
I wouldn't have said mobility is an issue. There's only 2 big men in there in o'meley and lauaki and lauaki is pretty mobile from what I've seen.

I still maintain that our defence suffers a lot from the amount of work it has to do, which is again partly attributed to by our poor attack resulting in less possession, as well as the poor interchange policies we have seen. Also the fact that we don't kill games off when in charge means the opposition always have plenty to play for late in the game, hence us conceding late points on a regular basis.
I firmly believe that if we could add 12-18 points to our attack in games it would bring about a 6-12 point saving in defence with it at the same time. Bear in mind that adding as little as an average of 10 points in attack and saving 4 in defence would give us a points difference behind only Leeds and Saints. And that's not unrealistic IMO if you consider how many times we get good possesion in the opposition's half and come away with nothing.
