I've being more loyal then any FC I know since they came into my life but now this board are testing my patience. I will not be a doormat, I will not be the one that funds the wages for people not doing a job properly.
Call me unloyal or fickle, but I believe I need to do this to get my point accross.'"
Agreed, people can spout the in any kind of weather all they want but unless changes are made we are being taken for mugs and they only way to change this is to make the board realise that we wont just give out our money regardless, unless our recruitment is top class for next season I think I will just do away games and not giving the club any money just other clubs.

Well said I will always renew but I can afford to at present, when you looked round last night at Headingley we are down to the real in any kinda weather crowd, many of whom put a brave face on things and even found the funny side of things at times.
The fact is though in hard economic times when people have to make choices why should they choose to pour their hard earned down the drain to see performances that lack passion, skill and any idea of how to get their back into games when the going gets tough! The fact that the club seems unable to even suggest any action to put it right just compounds folks frustrations
I have rarely been so upset at half time as I was last night. Not because of the score but because with 3 seconds to go we were going in just 6 points down. Then another piece of abject lazyiness and rank poor defending by one particular player, who had been instrumental in our conceding earlier in the half, left us having to score three times to get ahead!!!

| After watching the game last night, i'll struggle to even be bothered to go to the Saints game. As a pass holder this is the 1st season in 20 that I've felt like this.
As long as Agar, Sharpe and Drule are there, I can't see my pass being renewed. The club are in a win win situation, as they know what ever dross they serve up, they will still see record season pass sales. Until that stops, they will carry on mugging off the fans and club.

I respect the thoughts of those not wishing to renew - it is understandable -but as someone who will renew I don't consider myself a mug thanks. As for the bit in bold I take it you've never sung Old Faithful, or if you have you thought it was rubbish.

I assume you mean Thorman. A second row forward fends off a scrum half in defensive shocker!!! I'd check Yeamans role in the try as well.

| Ultimately I love watching rugby league. I hate seeing Hull playing as they do but live in hope. Can't see me switching to red & white after 30+ years of black & white so will carry on with the pass and expectation that we will dare to change and keep admiring the likes of Saints, Leeds etc. and hope that we can learn from them. Stevo was giving Reece Lynne huge accolades last night, will we be a force of the future, or more wishful thinking?

The thing is when the same player waves his arms around for the fourth time in 40 minutes when attempting to make a tackle it grates a bit. As for Yeaman he regularly misses tackles or finds himself out of position so him doing so again was no surprise.

| I've followed the team throgh thick and think for more than 30 years and seen much, much worse times and teams than this one. The difference now is that we're turning over more than we ever have, making more money than we ever have, seeing record attendances, record season pass and merchandise sales, spending more on the squad than we ever have and we're still failing.

If he hadn't kicked on the 3rd tackle in his own 20 with 30 seconds to go we'd never have been in the situation though would we?

I could have fended off that attempted tackle. It was woeful.
Why do players insist on a battle of upper body strength? If Thorman had tackled Ablett's legs we might not be having this conversation

He got fended off continually, his half hearted attempts are quite frankly pathetic and he should be nowhere near our team with that attitude.
Yeaman did miss a tackle, as he came accross Smith cut inside him, Thorman was just stood there and flapped an arm, Smith is not a backrower so what was his excuse that time.
Other players did miss tackles but they recovered from them and went on to have decent game, like Horne and Yeaman.

I see where you're coming from Paul. But Thorman was subbed at h/t and there was zero improvement in the second half.

Defensively we were poor all night. We still give to many penalties away as well - 2 on the 5th ffs!
The gamebreaker was the try on half time. We were playing catch up from then on and Leeds confidence will have been high.

True but the team did well in the first half, yet Thorman kept letting the side down. The try on HT killed us but the second half shows that we don't have a great deal of mental strength or resolve when the chips are down.

| Still haven't made a decision yet, have had a pass since 96 and it would pain me to not renew. Ihad my doubts but renewed for this year on the basis of giving Agar ample time in the off season to sort the issues out (dire style of play etc), only for us to be in the same boat again drifting furher in the deep ocean that is meadiocracy (sp).

| Anyone who stops going just because we aren't playing well isn't a fan that we want at the club anyway. I'd rather have a hardcore support of 6,000 who will follow the club through thick and thin than 15,000 boo boys.
In any kind of weather my ar5e.

I really don't understand why this is. I started watching in the Sharks era. We were garbage at times but I still felt like the players gave it a go and I was entertained and enjoyed going. Nowadays I endure the game rather than enjoy, yet if I feel like stopping going until the board change things, or even in the hope that enough fellow fans will do the same to force the board to act, I'm not a good enough fan?
Apparently, to be a 'proper fan' I have to part with substantial money to do something I don't enjoy and receive nothing in return. Can anyone give me a good reason/explanation why this should be?
I can tolerate many shortcomings in the team, be it players who aren't quite good enough but make up for it in effort, having a lack of the necessary resources to make improvements, even being shafted by forces genuinely out of the club's control. What I am growing tired of though is the club being one of the best positioned in almost every aspect but failing to capitalise by doing things in a half-ar$ed way.

That is the exact reason our club will go nowhere - people happy to settle for mediocrity. To be fair it's not just the club, but Hull as a whole!!! Until this changes, we will never be anything other than a mid-table wonnabe club.

Absolutely my view. In any kind of weather does have it's limits, we're not fooking stupid. I'll support the team that gives its all (and will be there in black and white when the likes of Rule etc are gone) but until the behind the scenes team changes many people will not be happy to follow the club. It all comes down from Hetherington, zero personality in the club from top to bottom.
We have the best stadium in Super League and a fan base that other clubs would envy. The potential for Hull FC is huge, yet we settle for mediocrity while the directors sip champers in the boardroom.

You mean blind loyalty?
If we were cash strapped and put on that display week in week out, there would not be an issue. But the fact that we are apparently a club going places and off the field , but showing inept performances on it, just doesn't cut it for me. I've been a ticket holder for Hull for 20+ years, but have never felt this dejected with my club. Mediocre isn't even the word, we are damned right $hit!
