When I've watched it before, the "millionnaire" has always found the neighbours friendly, but on this occasion no-one would talk to him. Although I'm sure the two chosen charities are very worthwhile - why on earth did the producers or researchers pick the Ashwell Unit as a possible contender, hopefully it wasn't to show (again) why Hull is at the bottom of the league tables and it's clearly a council funded educational facility?

What a crap programme tonight, it bore no relation to any of the other programmes in relation to the fact the bloke hardly got out to look for needy causes etc like the others have done. He spent most of his time at the Ashwell unit which was a waste of time with it already being funded.
Just another attempt to show the worst of the City.

I agree there are numerous charities that could have done with his help, but they choose a government funded school!!

To be fair he didn't solve it.he just acknowledged it and gave the cash to a place where people can hang out having tea with friends for 5 years whilst they decide what they want to do with themselves.

He didnt seem very secret to me on this programme. He hardly got his hands dirty.Usually they millionaire starts helping out somewhere and does all the tasks a new recruit would do but as you say this week was slightly different.To be fair to the producers they could of shown worse shots like whilst coming in on the train etc.

to be quite honest he looked more like an inspector/teacher than some of the secret millionaires do and that combined with a TV crew will have led them to think it was a benefits programme, so no wonder some of them hid!

You're right, Lambath road and Gillshill road are two tiny alright parts of East Hull.

yes totally agree gillshill road where im from is lovely and quiet just didnt agree with the poster that put all east hull do agree though some parts of east hull are bad but saying that theres areas all over hull that are not very desirable to live

its like all places you go to you get some nice parts and some rough parts to it

I live on foredyke ave,just of leads rd.Been here 14 years and love it ,nice and quite.Never had any bother at all thats why last time i moved it was 86 houses up the street.Not all parts of east hull are bad.Worse thing around here is lorraine street, the full street should be napalmed,blott on the lanscape.

The two singers seemed a decent pair of lads, hope they do well. Its good to see that there are organisations around that care about the ones that slip the net, the Warren and Childrens Uni are excellent projects.

They are but why the Children's University never told him they charge the schools so only the more well off schools can get the full package is beyond me. I wonder why he neglected to mention that fact?

they have to charge now because the funding got taken away/vastly reduced

and the schools in Hull are very 'well off' in comparison to the funding that the East Riding schools get per child

We all live in Hull and its all a hole. Does my head in when you get people off places like anlaby road or wherever think they can look down on places like OPE.

I often walk from friends houses early hours of morning with no problems what so ever. Infact the only problems I hear off in Hull are far from Oggy Park, ok there is some local chavs about. But aint they everywhere ?
