Personally I would drop Houghton and use Lee to cover the back row and Hooker if Berro needs a 10 minute breather. That then gives us 2 bench spots for props and a spare slot.

Has shown aggression and effort this year. One of the better players on Sat, too much herd mentality by so called supporters.

Lee has been doing a hell of a lot better this season, he isn't to blame for our failings, it's a team game, the responsibility starts with the coach an ends at the 18th man as far as I am concerned.

Correct, expectations of TL 3 years ago were way over the top and he's not fulfilled them, is that down to the clubs coaching methods or the player himself?

He's "suffered" because we have been spoilt with hookers for as long as I can remember, have we ever had a poor first choice hooker?

Who did we have before Dean Treister? Was it Lee jackson?

Easily forgettable is his problem!! The quins were begging for the chip over for 60 mins of the match but no one in B&W had the guts or guille to try it , if TL is to excell he needs to try some of that cheeky flair he had before it was coached out of him!!

Do you think the players are scared to 'chance their arm' so to speak, Hall for instance did, got taken in to touch on first tackle, agree though the little chip over was there for all to see, Thorman probably had more chance to do it in first half too

I reckon Hall will have got a right bollocking for that as well, but like i said on the night, if it was dry, it was try time! We should be encouraging people to take more risks and play off the cuff imo

I'll be the first to say over the past few year's Tommy Lee is Crap!
BUT

he's being playing OK over the last few rounds
He's definetly not a Hooker Berro and Houghton are 1st n 2nd followed by Hodgeson.
He's Not a Half back Thorman , Horne and Washy are in that place before him .
what he's doing at the moment is great and i think he play's better when not under so much pressure like when he's at Half back or Hooker.

He is slotting in well to the back row/loose man positon. His defence is very good and puts some good hits in. But i do think he could be a very good hooker

Don't think he did anything wrong at all on Saturday and I can't understand why people feel the need to blame him all the time. At the minute I think he has to be a better option on the bench than Haughton, he can come on in the back row and do a good job if needed and he can also come on at hooker and do a job if Berro needs a rest.

Lee's best position is 9 and I agree he should be first in the pecking order on the bench to either spell Berrigan or a back rower. He is playing well - better than Houghton - and should be rewarded as such. If he's playing well his versatility means he shades Houghton.

i cant understand why lee isnt in the backrow,then we could stick with manu on the bench,manu is a lot more effective off the bench.also play with three props on the bench and rotate them more often.

Manu seems to take a while to settle into games though and has even said this himself. Thats why I think he has been starting games, and for an impact player he seems more than capable of playing 60+ minutes. Although wouldn't make as big of an impact.

Lets put this into perspective if all are fit he would not get a look in .
He is not a 7 nor he is he a 9 now you all think he is a back rower the only few places he has not tried are full back and wing.

Two problems with him he has no natural place and is not able to make decisions.

We need to drop him and get a ball player like washbrook or whiting back into the side.

he plays well now as all we do is plod down the middle which is all he is good at no skill required in that, and no decisions to make.

he has had his chance needs to go out.
