i think both yeamo and horne get alot of un-necessary criticism on here. i personally believe that both have been quite solid and started the season extremely well.

Centre is one of the most difficult positions to play in and master, and when comparing against other arguabley top centres such gidly, senior and matt king they are a good few years younger.yeamo is 25 and horne is still only 23.

also there are very few top quality centres in superleague, a big problem especially for the england team but thats another matter and getting away from hull fc. I think that the centre pairing we have currently although individually not the best but together when comparing against other teams centres is quite good.

Ive said they both played poor, as did the other 15. Whys that un-necessary?

Was just hugely impressed with the pace they were hitting the ball at. Guess Sherwin may have something to do with that too. We seem to always catch the ball stood still.

After Friday's performance, catching it at all would be a start.

un necessary in the sense that he played well and people are picking little flaws which anyone can do to any player if they look hard enough. people only see what they want to see most of the time....

To be fair I do think Horne and Calderwood need to work on more attacking plays together even if its just flat passing. But again Horne has started the season well. Just compare his stats to the other Hull born right centre across the river who is being tipped by the reds as future GB class

Out of the two Yeaman or Horne I would go for Horne at present as he is consistent BUT should honestly only be a utility squad palyer so that shows the real issue in the FC squad doesnt it

What's he gotta do? Score a double hat trick? If the lad scores three tries in a tightly contested game and still gets labeled a squad player, I don't think there's anything he can do!

he is a squad player, but he is playing well enough currently to be our right centre

He's worth the right centre place for me. defence is solid, making breaks with ball, scoring.......if he can add passing to his winger will be icing on cake.

As someone else said...what DOES he have to do? hes fought for a place, won it ans keeping it on merit by earning it

Thats just it though, the team is never always fit. Graeme Horne is invaluable in terms of his flexibility. I bet Agar has him in the first 18 every week.

There are a fair number of correct statements there!

One or two, and that doesnt always make them a bad player. Radford not breaking tackles for example isnt an issue, Manu fading out of games is etc etc.

But that depends on the reason for him fading IMO. Often (but not always) it is because he is being asked to get through too much work and/or play for too long. The issue then is as much, if not more, about coaching tactics for him rather than him being a bad player.

Fair enough, I just wasn't sure with your comment about being bad players or not.

I agree Manu should be our bench 2nd row. When he plays 80 minutes I think he tends to receive the ball flat too often and miss a few tackles.

I wonder how he would fair at centre??? got the step the strength and the speed and a cracking pass ability?? maybe a shout when we have a glut of forwards all champing to play??
