| Its hard to judge any of the three quaters at the minute as the ball is not getting out to them the only time they seem to get it is from kick returns or scoots. Hopefully the ball will start getting wider as the half backs gel and the attacking structure gets better. Yeaman has always ran excelent lines he just needs the ball and tries will come

| We have 2 very greedy centres but the difference between them is yeamo is class defensively and gives more going forward. Calderwood has only been passed the ball about 4 times in the first 3 games and has a try! Noticed R.Horne telling graeme off for not going out wide in the second half.

Lot of season yet to play , lets hope he improves week on week because he seems to be doing so at present but still way off the mark'"
And similar to Manu, he's heavily dependent on being given the ball in good positions to realise his potential. Spooky.
They both thrive when delivered the ball on the run so that they can exploit gaps. Receiving the ball stood flat and being expected to cart it up against a defence as organised as Catalans were last night will never produce the best from them. They are far from alone in this, I don't see it as a big issue for them individually, personally.

With regard to both 'centres' being greedy, the key difference is that Yeaman is a prolific try-scorer. Top centres require the ability to both score tries and create them for their winger, but at least one of these abilities on a regular basis. This is exactly why I'm not convinced by G Horne as a first choice centre, IMO he's still a backrower being asked to fill in.

Not on his own. Has played for Great Britain in a team that beat Australia so can be called World Class.
Thought he had a good game last night. Seems a bit quicker this season and strong in defence. Would make the England team at the moment.

Have to disagree. For me, a world class player is one that would walk into any side in the world. Yeaman would not.

He was been solid yet unspectacular so far. In all honestly, when Raynor is fit, Briscoe may well go into the centres as he shouldn't be left out of the side on current form. If that the case Yeaman may need to sit a few weeks out.'"
what rubbish, yeamo put in some solid work last night including some cracking tackles.

Phil Ford played in a GB team that beat the aussies, he wasn't world class.

On the basis of the three games so far, G Horne has broken the line more than Yeaman and actually looks like he offers more in attack than simply running head first at the opposition.

horne has been receiving better ball on the right due to his brother operating on the right, whereas Yeaman has had nothing from thorman. If Yeaman had been on the right then he'd have scored tries this season

| Yeaman is a fantastic player but one that doesn't always play to his potential. His tries are often reliant on someone giving him the right ball which is fair enough but i'd like to see him do much more off the ball running and angled runs at pace.
He broke into the side offering an awesome right fend but we've seen little of that for a few seasons now.
For me he's currently GB standard defensively and England standard in attack if people can make sense of that.

Horne has done bugger all with the ball he gets though.....doesnt know how to pass to a unmarked winger.........Yeamans time will come when Thorman sttles.......also....having 3 2nd rowers doesnt help...if we had a ball playing 13 then Yeaman would benefit...like he did when a certain player was here and who we havent replaced.

My preference would be to play Hall on the right, Yeaman on the left, and Briscoe breathing down both of their necks. Of course that depends on Tony being back at FB or Byrne making a miraculous recovery.

raynor is the best winger in the league, and briscoe is a centre through and through. Not sure where youre coming from with both points tbh!

Thats how i see it and can see us bringinging another utility back in as well or a out and out full-back.

Told from a reliable source (and i dont often post this stuff) that Skinny is going home. Hall or Motu for FB. I'd personally have Briscoe in front of Hall for the centre shirt but its nice to have the options.

If we lose Byrne for the season we really have to find a utility replacement, as only Hall can cover the FB slot.
