Yep, I think the try just before half time really burst our bubble. We were dominant for 39mins, they scored in the 40th and then again in 43rd just after half time. For the first time this season our heads went down in that second half and we were just playing out the sets towards the end.

For me the set that showed our injuries was about 5 mins towards the end, in our half Crooks, Lyne, Whiting, Briscoe, and Sharp all took drives in, with Ellis kicking straight to their fullback. Our forwards were knackered towards the end.

You say crucial point of the game, he could have done it at any time and it be called that. I agree it was a mistake, but i dont want us to go back into the routine of kicking our penalties out 10 metres away. I thought he did well to keep his head up all through the game, always looking exciting and dangerous. Also think he moves the ball much quicker than Horne can. But i agree not the finished article, but by no means the reason we lost

Harsh to blame Ellis for the missed kick to touch, thought the Hudds player knocked it forwards and the player collecting came from an offside positition

A great first half but the try before H/T took the heat out of us.
That was a real gutter. We din't do ourselves any favours with the missed kick into touch and the early second half try.
I thought Hudds played really well against our mainly 'second string'

Think it was just a very disappointing second half overall, Hudds showed why they are at the top of the table and it would be good if we get to play them with a first choice 17 to see how far we have come this season. Think we are going to take a few beatings in the next few weeks but hopefully get bodies back at the right end of the season.

The reality is that our current squad is approx 6/7th best in SL. Hopefully we can move forward over the next couple of seasons.

That's just what I said to my lad, it could have been so much of a different story. But we can't live off 'ifs' and 'buts, it was what it was. But you're right, I hope we get our lads back in the play off's then we'll see what the real team can/can't do.

Yes think you are right without a doubt, we just want and deserve better, hopefully the new regime will deliver.

That's pretty much how I see it. Last week was a massive effort given the players out and today we just hit the wall in the 2nd half. We have nowhere near enough depth or quality in teh squad and it will take 2 or 3 years to rectify the mess agar, rule and hetherington left.

Only worry is that if injuries continue to mount then we may see ourselves finish outside the 8

It was an entirely predictable result, given the state of of our squad at present.

Great display in the first half but I always expected them to hit back. The kids lack experience and some of the established players were not 100% fit. It's just so frustrating for the injuries to have hit right now and for us to have had such a tricky fourth round draw anyway.

Looking on the positive side, from mid May onwards we will look much stronger and we already have points on the board in the league. We can still finish 5th which would be more than satisfactory.

I normally agree about not buying into ifs and buts however the situation we are in you cant ignore it.

I mean their bench today was 2 Kiwi Internationals, a Australian International and a England Knights player.

Brown has built a decent team at Huddersfield, it will be interesting to see how they go next season when he has left.

They are a decent outfit however the last few seasons they have died off towards the end of the season, will be interesting to see how they go. I have no doubts if we had our full squad to choose from we would have won that game today, I honestly believe with a full squad we are capable of matching most teams on the day.

If you buy into the whole teams taking their identity from their coach you cant get any more different than the charismatic and flashy Nathan Brown to grafter and shy Anderson.

Hence the comment it will be interesting to see how they go...
