It's a weird statement. Maybe they're just going to pay some players off. If it's grix, why hasn't he binned him long before now? Or could be he told pearson to feck off at half time yesterday.

I can't see that the is much scope for major change. We hardly know anyone at the club other than the players, main coaches, pearson and myler. Maybe airlie bird got caught being blown by the girl bird mascot

I’m sure they’ll eventually buy the club, maybe buying a stake is just dipping a toe in the water. It looks obvious to me Myler is calling the shots regardless.

I think we’d all prefer a full complete clean break with how badly decisions have been made recently but if the investment allows the club to be ran without the recent penny pinching then it’s a massive start.

I wonder if Myler came in as he was spending Thirkills money which is probably why he got the job and I think he's done a pretty good effort in overhauling quite a lot in his short tenure.

However I wonder if he's got in and thought it's going to need more than investment it's going to need complete ownership and Pearson away from the club which is why it's taking longer with the solicitors at present?

Either way I've seen the photo of supposedly Pearson leaving at half time and if it is him it's not on.

We saw him in his usual seat first half but didn’t see him come back for second half. Also there is a photo going around of him leaving the ground around the 45 minute mark

Well I left at full time and am 100% convinced that Pearson passed me on the A63 near Ferriby going west. His car has a very recognisable number plate so I'm certain it was him.

A friend of mine left on 70 mins, reckons Pearson was still there when he left.

As for the statement, feels like about version 15, need some action.

I sit in the East stand so ideally need someone in the West to verify but noticed he was there in the 1st half as he always sits the same place above the tunnel but didn't see him 2nd half.

Johnny Nash sang “There are more questions than answers and the more you find out, the less you know” just about sums up the statement. Why bother, could have waited until seasons end and come back with a massive statement. The more it rumbles on the less confident I’m becoming. Posters suggesting Myler told AP to leave at half time is fanciful and laughable at best. Time will tell but my scepticism is growing by the day.

I welcome an official statement from the club from someone other than Grix. It was needed and long overdue. It's also great that they are acknowledging there are issues.

Ultimately though, actions speak louder than words and talk is cheap. What comes next is the important bit. The statement doesn't go into details about what will happen next but something has to happen. It can't just turn out to be an AP style empty promises message ahead of pass sales. Myler and the club now need to deliver on the change he alludes to. What that change is, I don't know but like many I have my thoughts on what I would like it to be.

I said last week that I feel sorry for him in many ways but he's not blameless. The fact that he regularly fails to take any kind of responsibility bothers me.

Have to say that initially I gave Grix the benefit of doubt when he first took temporary charge given the poor state we were in. However that said there is something about the way he comes across that to me is defeatist and almost a 'not bothered' attitude as if he isn't accountable for anything as he's only manning the fort so to speak.

Another thing I said last week about him was that I feel that the job of an interim coach is a poisoned chalice when that coach isn't getting the job permanently as it will have a knock on effect in how the players respond to that coach. Thinking about it more, it's got to have a detrimental effect on the coach too and I think we are seeing that with Grix.

Also if it's where we are then he can explain some of the better performances over the last few months we gave Catalans and Wigan a game for example. Nobody would be moaning if we were in the game and Salford had just won by a couple of tries.

grix had a great opportunity to stamp his mark on the team and to put himself in a strong position for the future but has failed miserably. When cartwright leaves, would anyone want to see grix replace him permanently? The guy is so uninspiring it's almost laughable

As I previously stated last week, Grix is hoping for an early 'mutual' termination of his contract. We need a new broom across all the backroom staff, except Ellis.

On the Pearson leaving part, unlikely as he is the matchday director since Clarky left and we would get a fine if he had left early.
