But when you look at players like French lovodua who's hardly played over there
But I agree not everyone who plays in the Nrl is top class infact there's many average players ( like any league )
But I think hoy looks a real find fingers crossed

No one as far as know has destroyed Shaul at all, he was supported when he broke in to the team. Unfortunately Father Time has caught up with him and especially following his ACL injury. There’s no room for sentiment and as a club we have being guilty of that for too long. Without the pace he once had Shaul just doesn’t have enough about his game.'"
ACL injury is what worries me about Trueman.
We have seen with Shaul and Bowden how it effected their careers
Trueman is younger but Shaul and Bowden were not old and both never recovered their form and Shaul his pace.

Its a worry when any player gets a significant injury especially one that would have been career ending not that long ago. The advantage for Truman is he is younger than both Shaul & Bowden and that he has more about his game than just pace.
Fingers crossed he makes and full and speedy recovery but it just seems to be the our luck as we'd no sooner signed McIntosh last season and he was then out for the season with his Achilles.

| Short of having Mystic Meg on board, every signing is a risk. Every player we sign deserves to be given a chance to show what they can do although many on here are ready to dish them before they've even arrived. Some of our recent signings are really encouraging and I think it shows the way that BH wants to take the team. Just one or two of the old guard to move on and I think (and hope) that better things are on the way.

I welcome every signing we make heartily and can’t understand why some on here ALWAYS have reservations. Grumpy young, middle aged and old men, tv show there somewhere. You got the last sentence right, this is Hull FC, there’s always better things on the way. Jam tomorrow.
I’d like Walker to sign and play fullback. Trueman and Hoy in the halves, Lovodua at hooker and Jake at loose man, what a spine.

| I'm tempering expectations until I see how he goes and integrates into the team, we need to understand that just because he's Australian it doesn't mean to say he's going to be a world beater.
We only have to look at Jacob Miller to see how unfairly high expectations were set for him at Hull.
I'm glad Tex is young, keen to impress and I'm pleased in the direction the club are going.
I do welcome this signing and will look forward to seeing him in the black and white.

Admittedly in different times, but great players have managed similar roles with great success, Tommy Martin, Tony Myler, John Woods, even the formidable Sir Kev could seamlessly play six or 13, with minimal disruption, so Connor at 13 is an option for us, and such a potent attacking threat would scare the living daylights coming from behind the pack.
Problem is for me we signed that many off halves come fullbacks, haven’t we overlooked the scrum half position, presuming Gale is going, or do any of these new chaps play scrum half, is it even a requirement anymore, some really good potential progression for the future, quite exciting times.

| Think both halves are merely 'pivots' - right or left, working the scrum not really part of the game now.
Just can't see Jake at loose forward ???? We know he won't make the hard yards when needed, defensively anywhere near the middle he will draw heavy fire, largely negating his attack. I see him as a 6 ( or pivot ), think his lack of pace at full back now too much of an issue. Hoy & Walker both have much more pace than him. Do hope he stays around though, he is currently about 90% of our attack.

Connor’s a modern day Mick Crane. There’s always a place for that type of player in British Rugby League. This adherence to the Oz style of play is what’s making our game static. Deffo time for a change. A spine of Walker, Trueman, Hoy, Lovodua and Connor would even sort Saints out, provided the pack has the go forward. Don’t get this Connor would be targeted by opposition props, last time I saw him, a few weeks ago now, he’s a big lad who can look after himself.

I like Lomax & Dodd, Smith & Field, Sneyd & Croft, Pearce & Drinkwater, Lewis & Abdul ![Very Happy icon_biggrin.gif](//www.rlfans.com/images/smilies//icon_biggrin.gif) intrinsically two balanced halves are carried by the top teams, the seven is invariably the better kicker, it’s always been thus.
It’s a simple game complicated by an Australian rationale, everyone got a process, process, play the greatest game the best way, look what’s in front of you.
Ps I was going to add Millward & Hartley, Hepworth & Hardesty, Davo & Hancock.
