Even if you meant five years it's down about 2,500 not 'more than 4,000'.
Still in the top four averages in Super League and we may go past Saints this season.

Not very good at this are you
ADAM Pearson admits fans must come back to the KC Stadium in big numbers – or Hull FC will find it increasingly difficult to compete at the top of Super League.
With last season's average gate of 9,662 over 4,000 down on four years ago, current pass sale levels suggest another significant drop is on the cards ahead of the new-look Super League structure coming in.
That has led to rumours that the SMC may enter discussions with Pearson about the possibility of closing sections of the ground on match days.
This won't happen in 2015, but stands could close in 2016 including the south stand if attendances do not justify opening them.
Adam must have got it wrong during his HDM interview. Didn't he admit that numbers published. were way off what was actually in the ground? 13,880 - 9662 = You do the maths. Mrs B will be able to clear things up.

| Really enjoyed the Catalans game, seemed like less errors than recent games which was nice to see, I thought myler was brilliant and Taylor was like a battering ram. I think myler has got to be one of my favourite players to watch. Leeds are definitely improving and I can see them beating Huddersfield next week.

Ahh. You mean that ONE weekend when PASSHOLDERS could buy TWO extra tickets for£5.
Not regularly available like you claimed then are they?
And NOT quite FREE tickets the Dobbins have to hand out

You need to read my post again. I stated that FC were selling tickets for £2.50.
And they were readily available to 5,700 pass holders. Some boasting on here to buying 4.
Smacks of desperation for the opening game. Maybe stay away fans are killing the club as stated by Adam Pearson. Didn't he state that he needed over 14,000 to balance the books? Every little helps

| I don't think there's any question that gates are down, it's pretty clear they are and it's a concern. If we want to maintain this level of squad the team has to perform and the fans have to respond. So far they've done well, but we need a performance against Wigan. I don't know about the 9662. 13.8k though is the reported attendance for 2010, so if the 9662 is actuals, the comparator needs discounting to be, well, comparable. Reductions have impacted a lot of clubs. Hull KR for example had 8000 members in 2009, now down to 5000 apparently. It's a shame, especially when you've gone to the expense of building a whole new stand and everything.
We did run a 2 for £5 limited offer for the Salford game. We didn't have a giveaway though, or very publicly target a record crowd then realising you were going to fall short have to make up another "milestone" like being the "best crowd on a Sunday afternoon in February vs Castleford with Andy Bell in an anorak singing a tune forever associated with a record final nilling".
Anyway, it was encouraging that AP referenced in his programme notes on Thursday that membership numbers have increased over the last few weeks and are now comparable to last season's.
Back on topic, looks like we'll finish the round 5th, or 4th if Huddersfield beat Widnes, with the second best points difference after Warrington, and a game in hand on last year's bottom 4. Wigan game is going to be an important one.

Pretty sure you just ran a record crowd for a Thursday Gimmick.
Sound like Pearson will be bringing back the 10K barometer thingy with the extra membership.
Haven't rovers increased their membership for the 3rd year running, Whilst FCs have declined? Pearson stated they would be down 1000 on last season. Do you have an update on the increase in recent weeks above the 5,700?

Sure we did. But we didn't push the record opening crowd for weeks then be forced to backtrack when it was clearly unachievable and have to do the Andy Bell defeat record thing. Whether Rovers have increased their membership or not vs 2012, it's down 3000 on 2009. That's a lot, right? Particularly with a big liability on a new stand that it turns out isn't really being filled every week. That must be hugely disappointing. As already stated AP's indicated that the numbers have increased to year on year comparability. That's good, or at least better than it looked six weeks ago. You must yearn for that time, Gareth Westmorland's promises of ecstasy and excellence providing a delusional haze which has sadly now cleared to reveal a brittle squad, empty talent pipeline and rumours of signing Epalahame Lauaki from Bradford as the solution to your impotent pack. Goodness me.
