Are you seriously trying to compare a player with no senior appearances to a first teamer whos name will be preprinted onto the team sheet?

If the issue is that Manu wants to keep his Sundays for Church, then isnt this another reason to revert back to Friday night home games. Its hardly as though gates have increased (quite the opposite, although I am aware there are other factors) by moving to Sundays.

Tell Manu we are playing home games on Fridays, problem solved???

My post was a suggestion to a problem. What's More weird is the number of people who insisted Manu had already decided. Gone was the expression used and some of those very same people are now saying he may well stay.

Let's face it, if everyone said he was leaving and a few days later did a full U turn they could claim to be in the know

I think whoever posted that 'problem' was being sarcastic about the amount of crap we've had to endure on here recently. What's weird is that we've had so much outlandish guff posted in the past few weeks that some people can't actually tell the difference between the 'serious' (I use the term loosely) rumours and those posts designed to lampoon the increasingly far-fetched speculation that has become a staple of this and other threads.

Manu signed for the 2007 season. We didn't move to Fridays until 2009.

to be honest its beyond a joke now and if i was hull i would tell him to sign or take it off the table it was ment to be sorted this week and nothings been mentioned it es the fans off not knowing wat is happening and it must disrupt the the team all the rumours need quashing and players need to decide if they are staying or going we aint even half way through the season yet and every1 is rumoured to be unsettled and leaving

The longer it goes on the more I think it's probably agreed he'll stay and the club wanting to announce it at the right time. If he was refusing to sign I think they'd have come out and said it now. The move back to fridays swung it

Before the advent of message forums like this, the fans would not have seen / created / spread any idle gossip. You would have heard something through the press from the club that a player has left or signed. If the club had to respond to all rumours, there would be no end of trolls creating them.

So, my earluier suggestion about fridays was not that far off the mark then??
