| This is not the time for Agar to go. PS dismantled a team that had real potential on the back of Jk's dismissal. He came in as the disciplinarian, which did not work. Agar deserves a chance at least to the end of 2010, if he does not perform then he must go. I'm sure he knows this himself.

| No way will we make the top 8 - Theres more chance on Cristiano Ronaldo making an £80 million move to Wycombe!!.
Unfortunately listing to Rule, even if we lose every match this season than Agar will still start next season as coach.

| Above all else I'd just like to see a few changes. The almost resignation that the current 'tactics' and team selections are the best we have to offer is both infuriating and depressing.
FFS Agar, grow a pair and shake things up a bit!

too long, no time to wait
if you were 75 years old sat reading that comment what would be goin thru your mind?
"at least 2010?? jesus i may have popped me clogs by then, i cant wait that long, my own days are numbered."
not fair on the older generation of fans who have seen enough crap in their lifetimes. they should act now instead of pussyfooting around like they have been doing these past few years.

| He shook things up tonight and dropped Whiting who i think has been excellent since his return. So much for the shake up he (Agar) has gone on about in the press.

| For me Agar is too nice and lacks the steel thats needed to be a head coach. Couldn't bring himself to replace Radford as captain so he promotes Thorman and Cusack as vice captains. He allows Thorman to take all penalties and drop-outs when tickle can kick 3 times further. Threatens a clear out end of last season yet keeps signing up the inadequate players and no bottle to drop those who play poorly. I just can't ever see the guy totally losing it in the dressing room with under performing players.
Only way to get the best out of the players is a completely clean sweep of the club. A new coach who doesn't know the players and doesn't go on reputations. Otherwise we can expect the same c**p week in week out.

Don't give me that bollox. Agar was an integral part of the coaching setup that employed these players and has worked with them for years. At the start of the season he was giving it large about how we were going to surprise folk.
A glove puppet would get more out of this squad than Agar is managing to do.

people seem to forget he was Sharp's no2 and therefore a big influence on the team, it wasn't like he just got handed a poor squad he knew nothing about, he's been at the club longer than a lot of the team.

| It may be bollox. He may have been an integral part of the the system as 2 IC but I'm sure he did not have the authority to exit players in his position at that time. We will see his metal come the end of this campaign.

Agar has extended the contracts of some of the deadwood since he's been in charge. He also knew exactly what he was getting with the squad he 'inherited' and if he didn't feel that he was capable of getting them to perform then he shouldn't have accepted the job.

Oh, I haven't seen this one for a while, I've almost missed it.
Yes, boys and girls, the reason Hull FC have been poor and played one-dimensional rugby for the past 3 years is because Jon Sharp was appointed assistant coach less than a year ago. It is absolutely nothing to do with the current head coach who has been at the club for the entire duration of our descent at all. Don't go getting confused now, just keep the faith.

| Kosh, I accept your debate here but the long term strategy must be that Agar is allowed the freedom and decision making to build his own squad for the future. Imagine yourself taking over a squad and building a winning culture that you were happy with, it takes time.

I agree changing culture takes time, some 12-18 moths (on my experiences), i would have thought longer with an organisation like Hull...however we have seen no progress whatsoever, in fact we have gone backwards (in my view).
There are no signs (from a playing style, tactical and skills viewpoint) that we are likely to improve under Agar's stewardship. Additionally, as has already been said, it's not like Agar is new to the club either.....he new full well what he was getting when he took over, he should of (by now) made some significant progress.
Two try's against one of the worst defences in the league and another try less half of RL isn't good enough!

| When Rovers gained promotion Justin, at great risk, gave most of the players a season in S/L with a smattering of new signings, he then showed what a good coach he is in that the future of Hull Kingston Rovers is more important than loyalty to players, he said thank you and had a massive clearout of players not good enough for S/L. I believe that this is what Hull FC need, someone who thinks more of the future of your club than that of upsetting a few of his pals. Watching Hull going into freefall, believe it or not, is not something i want to see , competition across the city is good for both clubs. You pay good money and show loyalty to your club, it's about time Hull FC reciprocated.

By and large, morgan gets player to play at nearer their potential than agar does. If agar were coaching salford and mcrae Hull, we'd have hammered them last night. Not that I'd want mcrae back as I feel he is far from a great coach

agar helped choose the squad we have when sharp was here.the problem he has is that he doesn't want to be proved wrong by dropping or being critical about any of his 'senior' players.we need to have a clear out at the end of the season, whether it is 10 or upto 15 players(ooc and contracted).people like tommy lee have had their knockers over the last couple of years,(me included)but he is one of only a few who are putting in a big effort week in week out.thacks has been our best prop over the last few weeks, yet he is dropped to the bench to accomadate radford!!!i would like thacks to be given another year but i do believe the drinking culture that seems to follow him may be his downfall.the same may be attached to kingy, and tickle,so it will be interesting to see whether they could be made available for transfer come the end of the season.
