So do we need Hall for his goal-kicking as well? Is he better than Thorman?

If he has I am not aware of it, he plays centre in the Leeds reserves. It also interesting to not that he has been ignored this season despite Leeds having problems at fullback/wing/centre.

Hall has had the odd blip but I don't know where this 'coughing up the ball for fun' has come from?

Either way Broughton is notthe man to replace him. Calderwood/Whiting/Thorman could all do it but not Broughton.

If Horne does not make it then Washy/Whiting could play 6 or Berro could move there with Washy and play Thorman at fb?

Hall is a better goal kicker than Thorman although Thorman is decent. Tickel was a doubt but I heard he had been passed fit?

he's been too inconsistent to keep him at fullback IMO, but on the wing he'd be a threat

Then we go cap in hand to Leeds and we get Broughton.

I know we have injury problems, but come on, this is laughable.

i think Reardon is 'fit' and has been for most of the season just Wire didn't want to play him, I think he is lacking match fitness and a game in the reserves will do him good

i also wonder if the fact we are at home and all eyes will be on his performance because of the controversy has affected Agar's decision?

To be fair i saw saw 3 important mistakes im sure their was a few more from Hall against Rovers. He seems like he can be dangerous in attack but full back isnt it, he's to weak in defence and puts to much pressure on the team far to often for it to be just a blip i would put someone else at No.1 as he clearly isnt up to it.

I think it should be pretty obvious to all we will be waiting until after the 23rd..................

Good luck to Broughton, I wish him all the best. It does however go to show how far behind the big teams we really are when we can't promote one of our youngsters from the 21s. Would we ever see Leeds or Saints doing this?

we have promoted a lot of players in the last few years, and to be honest players like Houghton, Briscoe and Hall would have spent another year or so in the reserves if we were as successful as Leeds and Saints are.

He's made 10 errors in 6 games. Thats nearly 2 a game and far too many. Either way I wouldn't play G.Horne on the wing whether that means playing Broughton there or Hall and I would move Hall away from FB.

At least these injuries will give a few people a ready-made excuse as to why we aren't competing for silverware with Leeds and Saints again.

Two "very unlucky", and "injury ravaged" seasons have deprived us of the opportunity to challenge for every honour in the game.

Absolutely nothing to do with the fact that we started the season not knowing the future of our first choice fullback or if he even had one, with only one recognised centre, no recognised scrum half, too many forwards that don't go forward and a coach who is unproven and was chosen because he was the cheap option.

If that wasn't saddening enough as a Hull fan, we are now watching Saints and Leeds dining at the top table in the hope that they might throw us a scrap or two in the way of loan deals.

All this from a grade A club !!!! We have officially become a laughing stock!!

Who would you play fullback? Where would Horne move to?

Well if nothing else, it keeps players under pressure to perform for their place in the squad.

If broughton has experience there he is an option. The other 2 options are R.Horne and Thorman. I'd be tempted to play R.Horne there and use Washy at 6 but Thorman does have more experience of playing FB (its just he is rubbish at it)

Horne is not in the squad and Broughton has no experience so it would have to be Thorman then.

But who would play in the halves? Berro/Washy? What would you do with G. Horne?

I would have opted with Thorman at fb but with Horne out we can't have two new halfbacks so I think Broughton might go to the wing, Horne to centre and Whiting to fb.

But who will do the kick, after the five drives?
