I certainly do and am not ashamed to say it. Turner has barely earned his spot, so lets just play our youngsters / Martin instead (if he wants to go that is) The other players have earned their stripes and so be it.
FWIW I also think that losing Turner is a bigger blow than Manu, but I stand by my opinion. If we ARE losing him, then forget it, play Crooks ideally and then we will be best placed for the future.

Crooks while showing potential does not quite have the physical attributes for regular super league at the moment.
Turner is still the better player out of the 2 currently and more importantly is still a Hull player. To not play him is ridiculous and like cutting your nose off to spite your face.
I want to see our best and most competitive team out there every week.

Martin was playing well before his injury and Crooks has been pretty good too. If we rotate these too, I don't think we'd suffer.

Is Martin likely to leave at the end of the season? Why is he given special treatment?
Have people not considered how chopping and changing the team might affect performance?

Can I also add what would potential future players think about coming to a club where the manager drops players the second they consider moving to another club? Why would a player take a risk moving to Hull if they feel their career could stutter should they want to move closer to home or just not like the area?

What if we have injuries, and Turner is all we have left for centre, but he's so demoralised by being dropped because of a career choice that his performances (and therefore the team's) suffer?

There are far far more negatives than there are positives, and I'm not 100% sure that the positive is a positive! Crooks' development may not be best served by playing in SL every week.

Bottom line is, we need to add a top class centre for next seasons shopping list as well as a 6 and 2 props. No way is Crooks anywhere near ready for week in week out SL.

We wouldn't if Crooks continues his development. Arundel would take over from Martin and Crooks take over Turner. Do we have another up and coming centre that could take over Crooks' position as an early developing centre?

Liam Cunningham was moved to the centre this year but injuries have held him back so far.

Gwilym Lloyd says now Yeaman's injured, Turner may get an Exiles Game call-up. Because bigging Turner up makes FC look worse when he's confirmed as signing for Saints? Why the failure to mention Welham as the obvious replacement when he's already in the England Knights squad, I'm not sure.

Average, but due to desperation about the fact he's out of contract he's performed well enough to get a deal at a club who have being surpassed by FC and Cataln this year.

Speaking to a Saints supporter they expect the next few years to be difficult at best.

I dont get the hype over him right now, yes has played about 6 good games for us at but before that he was pants and everyone to a man & woman I would guess would have been glad to get shot of him.

Now he may continue to play well under his new coach but he could also go back to being pants.

I don't think there is any 'hype'. I see a vastly improved player - who I was fairly indifferent to before this season - who has improved a little defensively but a great deal in attack. He has demonstrated length of the field pace, a try scoring ability, and ball handling skill akin to those that good centres possess.

What I don't get is how some seem indifferent to the fact that Turner has improved so much. Improving young players are not a bad asset to have in the squad - that's what we should be looking for under Gentle and Turner is a good example. I hope Arundel (if he signs) will take on that mantle along with Crooks. I doubt St Helens sign players purely on 'hype' - I'm sure they've seen enough to think that Turner has potential, not least when he ripped Shenton a new one 10m from his own line only a few weeks back.

More to do with value for money. Shenton is reportedly earning £120k, that's just stupid.
Anybody that thinks Turner is currently better than Shenton is just wrong. Shenton is an international centre and has been a SL regular for years, Turner couldn't even get in our team at the beginning of the year.

I think Turner is better than Shenton, and given the choice I would never have signed Martin, I have never understood what he's added to our squad aside from his experience, at the bottom end of Super League.

Shenton hasn't been anywhere near the player he was even at the end of last season when he got injured, he'll only tackle with one shoulder and he can't pass the ball either. I'd rather have Yeaman - Crooks - Whiting - Cunningham next season than include Shenton in that mix

I just don't see this 'vast' improvement in Turner, he's still the same player just playing in a better defensive structure, which compensates for his defensive deficiencies. He's always been quick, good feet and hands. His try scoring record has always been impressive.
