| Quote ="Mrs Barista"What I'm actually saying is this.
The club has lost £1.5m since 2010, lost money last year, is making redundancies and has a credit rating that has worsened appreciably over the last 12 months. I don't see that any of this can be contested. In this context the importance of season pass income to the club IMO is as, if not more, important than it's ever been. In my opinion there's a risk that if the proportion of people not renewing on here is replicated in our fanbase, our ability to operate as a top 8 team will be compromised. Maybe worse.
The bulk of the creditor number is likely to be to AP, of course. There's a note to the accounts that says a going concern basis for their preparation is only feasible because AP says he'll continue to provide backing for the next 12 months; without that backing we wouldn't be a going concern. That's not particularly unusual in RL clubs because of the significant reliance on benefactors by most teams.
As for relevant comparators, who would you suggest? Saints, Leeds, Warrington, Huddersfield and Cas either own their ground or their owners have a controlling stake IIRC. Wigan? Hull KR? Salford? I think Wakey own their ground too.'"
Wigans ground owned by Dave Whelan,Rovers have a long term lease (from a Don Robinson initiated company) and Salford is owned by council and Peel Holdings. As for Wakey their ground is owned by the Bank of Ireland

Can't help yourself can you, inflammatory posts are against the AUP but that's all someone of your type is capable of isn't it, insults & unreasonable posts with sod all substance.
How much I contribute to the club is none of your business but whatever I'm not sure how you worked out £15 but then again your calculations aren't exactly up to much cop with your £2.5million less income nonsense in the other thread.

Inflammatory? Try reading some of your recent posts if you really want to understand what the word means.
Quote ="knockersbumpMKII"I'll get a general membership, I'm still struggling to get enthused for next year tbh but it'll be worth it to get the discount on the HullFC live'"
£60 (FC live)/2 + £45 (general membership) = £75.
So you're paying £15 more than last year.
If I were AP, I know where I'd tell you to stick it, but that would probably upset you, so I won't.

| Doesn't really matter what anyone on here says as nobody knows the full details.
What is being said by Pearson is at best a plea and at worst a threat. Even if season passes fell by 1,000 the increase in revenue from sky and the golden handshake for the academy will more than offset it. The increased pressure from the SMC isn't financial and some should remember that.
I'm not sure how Pearson can sanction a 'marquee player' signing in Frank Pritchard then claim the club is going under to the fans. Sika Manu too! Yes a nice addittion, but is another 6-figure salary second rower needed?
It's like ordering a take-away on a Friday and then moaning you've only got beans on toast on a Saturday.

Easy one to answer that.
If The club did not sign quality players there would be an even bigger shift away from the club. One thing Pearson cannot be called for is his willingness to put his month worth his mouth is player wise. We must be one of the very few clubs who have paid fee's for players in recent seasons. For one reason or another some of these players have not worked out (Daniel Holdsworth is a prime example). Many of these signings will have been sorted many months ago (Pritchard / Taylor / Manu etc).
At what point has it been announced that Manu will be on 6 figures?
Subsequently, the general mood has declined significantly. The very real prospect of not shifting as many season tickets as normal / corporate sponsors not renewing has fueled this concern. There are several reasons for this I feel.
Unfortunately there are many on here who it would seem would like to see Pearson fail.

| I think he said , in his typically belligerent way , that "we can't go on like this" , ie , spending more/the same money without seeing an increase in revenue which is not factually unreasonable. If he'd said that he recognised that the situation was at least partly his making and he's learned some lessons I think he'd have had a better response. The problem with that last statement though would have been he hasn't seemingly learned or changed anything and he steadfastly refuses to accept that in particular his inexperienced leadership team are not also a part of the problem.

Perhaps so, but it does seem those who are the biggest critics (of the club / Pearson / Radford) are the ones who are not actively contributing to the clubs coffers to try and make things better.
Pearson and Radford are not without criticism by any means and fans staying away is their prerogative, but it is quite ironic that those stay away fans actually feel they are doing something by staying away is a meaningful protest. Quite the contrary, its damaging the club no end.

So, you reckon Manu won't be on 6 figures? As long as it's above £50k, did we need another 2nd rower?
If we can't afford a marquee player, we shouldn't sign one.
I don't think anyone on here wants Pearson to fail, least of all me. And god knows where we'd be without him. But I'm sorry for feeling a little bit miffed at a bloke that's telling people at award ceremonies that there 'may not be a club to support' if we don't buy a pass, but will happily spend over £175k on one player.
The problem I have is merely the rhetoric and it's irony.

I agree but when I have emailed him (constructively) before he refuses to admit the LR is doing a bad job and says he has every faith in him, that's why I thought a follow up would be pointless.

That is misinformation at best and a downright untruth at worst. A work colleague and Hull fan had taken a lot of stick from Rovers fans and he actually emailed Adam Pearson himself, received a reply in about an hour and proudly pinned it to the notice board. I will quote the relative paragraph.
' I cannot imagine a scenario where fc would be put into administration...that doomsday scenario would not happen unless there was a very dramatic decline in passes and memberships....which will not be this year as passes look steady at the moment'
It cheered up our black and white colleague who nearly managed a round of coffee's.
