If it weren't such a critical position and if it weren't both of the halfs I'd agree but we just can't pin the hopes of the club on 2 players who probably have a low probability of becoming what we need in the near future

Rankin has had a handful of games in the FC shirt, having arrived at the end of last year. Miller only arrived mid season last year and has played little more games than Rankin. Neither have had a prolongued period in the side and have had about 6 games to build up a partnership. On the odd occassion, when they have played together behind a pack going forward, both players looked good with ball in hand and have both attacked the line, kicked well and scored tries. I've seen enough to suggest the partnership will flourish. Aussie halves usually take a season to settle. I appreciate your concerns regards this season but by hell you don't half belabour the fact. Radford is going nowhere and I sincerely hope he succeeds along with all of our young upcoming players. The constant sniping at him and the players and for heavens sake, critisism of Adam Pearson for daring to take over and want to do well, it could only be, HULL FC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But who do we have at this moment in time that could play instead of them? We aren't going to be going out and sign another half this season so do we go with the Horne and Heremeia partnership again? I'd rather we gave Miller and Rankin time to develop and create a partnership rather than resort to that option again.

Wigan Warriors have signed forward Taulima Tautai from Wakefield Trinity Wildcats.

Tautai will join the Warriors at the end of the current season on a three-year contract.

What about Willie Manu , people like to see us go back for him ?

He's injury prone now, we shouldn't just go for old players just because they have been good for us once upon a time, we are trying to have a clear out not hoard more golden oldies.

i spoke to willie manu a few weeks ago and said I hear your coming back to play for hull he laughed and said never say never mind you couldn't tell if he was serious or joking

Ive meet him a few times you could tell him his grans died he would smile..that type of guy.

Yup, daft signing in the first place, especially the circumstances he left us first time around.

Manu has just looked a completely different plater at Saints. On current form (well, before injury) I wouldn't take him back. If he was playing like he did when he was with us then I'd have him back tomorrow!

Think Saints have used Manu wrong, I still think we miss a Manu type player, so if he can prove himself fit, he wouldn't be a bad signing for a year.

Strange signing by Wigan, tautai has seemed like a luxury player when I have seen him, one good thing followed by 3 errors, he is also injury prone, seems like another Lauaki.

Wakey fans don't seem to worried that he's going.

Things are done differently at Wigan. Change of atmosphere/culture, he'll probably be top 5 prop next year.

when he was fit he was a good prop and defiantly a 1st team player.

They tried to sign him in the preseason but Wane said no so he will more than likely be going there next season.

Think most fans at Wigan pretty much expect this given previous rumours at the back end of last year.

He's been a fine signing for Wigan and will do a good job in the NRL.

You can put a spin on it all you like but Lauaki and Powell were poor signings for Wigan.

Wane is an amazing coach and most of his signings have been excellent and he usually knows how to get the best out of players, but he isn't perfect and can make poor signings like any other coach. I have a feeling that this one could be another.

So what,pity he was a total nut job off the field

Lauaki was a far from poor signing, i know hull fans don't like to believe it but he was a good player for Wigan. other than the 2 brain farts against warrington that everybody loves to remember he was quite a solid player.

Powell looked like he could be a great signing but i guess you can't scout for mentality, he basically gave up because he said it was to hard and he picked up a neck injury.

Struggling to remember a poor signing from Shaun, you say the two above i would agree Powell was but that was more down to mentality. People used to say Gelling was useless and we had signed a dud but look at him now.

The more i have watch Tauti on highlights the more I am impressed because its not the usually loads of shoulder charges and massive runs its more solid hard work.
