I really think that the club need to start talking to the council, the press and the fans about the KC situation ASAP. Problem with having owners who are not fans is that if there is a short term gain they will take it irrespective of any long term downsides

Agree. Allam clearly thinks we are living on favours already. We need clarification of our club's view, not least to put him straight.

Very pessimistic about the situation TBH. As I said earlier in the thread I think the money he's put into Rovers and the fact that key politicians are known to be Rovers fans and were being schmoozed by the club puts some barriers in the way of a sale in the short term IF someone has the nous to make a legal challenge, but it won't stop him forever.

The bunkum about us benefiting from using the KC indicates that he's either a bigger fool than he appeared to be after his first RH opus or he thinks that the sale is in the bag. Possibly both. It's an easily challenged claim but since he has the city's media in his pocket nothing will be said.

I'm not normally a fan of the BOD doing their business in public but I think this is an exception. They ought to be busy clarifying our position with the council and publicly challenging some of the rubbish that Allam has just come out with. And they need to keep the fans informed about what's going on.

I think the splits will happen to your club first, £1m does not touch your debts, and it has been made clear it is not for debts but players & improvements, your club will need more money again soon, clearly your club is his first port of call!

Personally I think that Allams intentions are good if a little misguided. If he does buy the club we are getting a very shrewd business man who, it seems wants to do something good for the community.

I dont really see what he has to gain by buying the stadium or by making the clubs merge, and lets be honest, the people of this city would never allow it anyway. I do think some of his plans are a little pie in the sky but I for one think he is genuinely trying to do good for the city.
