I know I'll get shot down for this - but i said after the Rovers game he missed in the playoffs that we should get rid. Already had discipline issues and then lets us down for what was the most important game of the season. It's not like Agar didn't know his disciplinary history before we signed him.

So, my main point is, why with this knowledge already banked are we SO short of backs, he has took an almighty gamble in figuring Tansey in for the season. Our 'everyman' Whiting is superb but very injury prone. Richard Horne blah blah blah..To let a youngster like Hall go when we have no 3/4 cover (Manu in centre already) was simply ridiculous. This is where I know i'll get shot down, but give me a Craig Hall any day of the week to a Tansey. This is not hindsight calling, this is simply bad management by Agar.

His recruitment policy is bonkers, Peter sharpe had the same problem - although his was an obsession for utility players. With the salary cap as it is, these managers/coaches have to do better than this.

I wouldn't mind but both Agar (and Webster) were half backs. They should know the importance of that particular role! Beyond belief, even for us.

This of course could be construed as harassment and bullying on their part.
Most on here also know of the nickname his teamates have given him.

Kosh - the posters on this forum don't influence Agar's decisions. It's his decision so I blame him. My point is about balancing the squad, using the cap to it's maximum benefit. Yes Hall had some terrible moments last season but he had some great games too and importantly finished the season well. He's young, fast and exciting and most importantly, a 3/4.

Don't understand. If Agar did something that was particularly successful against the opinion of the "majority of posters", he'd get the praise - he should equally get the criticism. To state the obvious, he's the coach, not the posters.

To clarify - I'm not suggesting that Agar is or should be influenced by what's posted on here. My point was that it's a tad harsh to have a pop now when the decision was greeted with overwhelming approval at the time, particularly when you had ruled out hindsight as a factor.

As it has been stated my me and others lots of these we tried to sign one but he couldn't get a Vias due to the Visa's laws tighten the last couple of years.

Where did i assume that? Also mentioning cash, is it not true that we would have more space on the cap to offer someone with Tansey off it? If cash was not the issue previously we still have more of it with Tansey off the cap to entice someone. (cash may not have been the issue but it can be a sweetener)

In those instances where details have leaked, cash has not been an issue and more cash is unlikely to help - except possibly to pay way over the odds for Sammut. AFAIK Cas have basically said that Chase is unavailable at any price, and our forays into the overseas market have been stopped by visa and/or contract length issues.

This appears to be one of those cases where having more cash really isn't going make any difference as we already had more than enough.

Whatever the reasons for signings not coming off i think you and Kosh are both missing my point. My point was that if we sack Tansey we have more buying power. Cash may not have been a problem before, but salary cap space was. We now have more buying power as we can offer Tanseys wage over and above what we offered anyone before. That could well be the difference between offering a good halfback a 100k salary or a 170k salary. Suddenly not wanting to move to Hull may become less of an issue.
