To be fair I wouldn't class Long as an "organising halfback" either, in fact Sammut reminds me of a young Longy, just has that spark about him and can do something special, that said would be pointless in signing him in my opinion if he only wants to stay a year, if we could get him long term would be a top signing.

Why not get him for a year? if Long and RH are missing for big chunks of the season which we all expect it could make the difference between 2011 been another very average making up the numbers sort of year or a pretty good challanging for a top 4 spot good run in the play offs sort of year.

Jesus wept man...get his stats up and compare him to others...He is one of the hardest workhorses in the game, with bags of experience which every team need.

so he should work hard for the money he gets paid!!!!! lets be honest, we wont win nowt with people of the calibre of dowes and radders in our pack......radford WAS a good player now unfortunatly times has caught up with him...should have only give him a year at best.......shame our board were so scared that he was going to sign for rovers...... the same day that we offerd him a new 2 year deal..!!!!!!!

Like what has been said before, every team needs engines and grafters and I think Radders does this very well. I think last season he played better with not having the captaincy role on his shoulders.

If he still shows the same as he did last season, then I don't see why not. We had 3 players last year playing the same role (Radders, Dowes, Yak), when we realisticly only need two. Now only the two are there, I hope to see the best of both of them. For me, it's Dowes who needs to step it up, not neccessarily Radders.
