Or maybe stay with his brother in-law Lee Briers

| One way to look at it is that it could be a good move to build his confidence back up.
But it could knock him even more as we have got a younger kid on loan ahead of him who plays in exactly the same positions.

Whilst he has undoubted attacking flair he is still making far too many errors after playing nearly 50 games for the first team. Why are some people completely ignoring this serious flaw in his game and not recognising he has shown no improvement in terms of learning from those mistakes?'"
Despite 10 years in the 1st team Rich Horne still misses too many tackles

I remember agar telling us pre season that we'd be playing a much more attacking game this season

| I do think this is positive for the future that there is a strong vein of younger players (25 or under) who have had a taste of SL (some much more than they should probably have had at their ages):
Yeaman 25
Whiting 24
Washbrook 23
G Horne 24
Houghton 20
Briscoe 19
Burnett 20
Lee 21
Hall 21
Maloney 22
Hodgson 19
Moa 22 (can this be true?)

| Quote ="Robbo4"icon_confused.gif Hall played 22 out of 27 league games last season. I also didn't say that "anyone" who isn't playing well is dropped. With the injuries we have had over the last 18 months its been difficult just to get 17 fit players so options for dropping people was very limited. It just happens that Hall could be covered and its not like he is the established automatic first choice anyway.'"
But after Agar took over it was 9 from 12 and only once starting at centre. And the reason Hall is coverable is because we're going out and loaning players to do so, I don't see us doing that to anyone else. Loaning players to cover injuries is one thing, loaning them so that we can use them and get rid of our own youngster who plays the same positions is just a kick in teeth to the lad.
Quote ="Robbo4"Would Hall have the mental toughness to even play for a team like Saints? Debatable IMHO.'"
Not possible to say. In fact I'd suggest there's less pressure put on the young kids there, and more emphasis on attack, so maybe it would be a situation he could flourish in.

Jesus wept, you actually think we are loaning players specifically so we dont have to play Hall? The persecution complex surrounding Hall is starting to become a joke. If we weren't so poor in attack it wouldn't even really be an issue because like it or not he does make far more mistakes than anyone else on the pitch. Its really not the huge travesty of justice that people keep going on about in order to find another way to attack Agar. Its not like we need anything else anyway as he has far more flaws than choosing not to play our most error prone player who is failing to learn from his mistakes and couldn't tackle a hot dinner.

No, we didn't loan Broughton for that purpose, but we have kept him in preference to Hall. Justify it if you can, the only reason I can think of is it's saving us a (relatively tiny) bit of money.
If you read back my posts you'll notice that not once have I said that Hall didn't deserve to be dropped. The point I am trying to make is that he has been treated more harshly than others just as deserving. And the reason it bothers me is because it's another indication that Agar prioritises his precious stats over any attacking threat we might pose.

'"
To me it looks like neither Broughton nor Hall are being considered to selection in the next few weeks unless there are injuries to our current back 5. We're therefore giving Hall an opportunity for first team rugby in a good NL1 outfit, whilst keeping Broughton as emergency cover only. You make it sound as if we've sold Hall on a free transfer to Widnes and signed Broughton on a 2 year deal.
