As I say, he's already made demands, and they have fallen on deaf ears, he doesn't have the money to do what he promised at the KC, he doesn't have the money to build anywhere else. He doesn't have the money to build a Premiership squad, look at Arsenal, wading in cash and won nothing for years, even Chelski, with RA Billions behind them, struggle to win anything other than the Europa.
City fans are deluded, but we saw that from the TV pictures yesterday.

how am I naieve?
Allam cannot change the lease agreement without the secretary of state's aprroval, and as a crown asset it may even be called to the privy council.
I'd say I'm maybe a little better informed?

It is 60 million for going up and a guaranteed 60 million parachute payment when they go down.

Yup, you can buy a sports club with a credit card, of course you can.
there's no rules, regulations, due diligence etc. to take into account.

As Standee says, it's the due diligence that would trip him up. Part of that due diligence would be giving assurances about where the club would play. It's not all about money.

He already owns a sports club, so don't see too many issues there . I said [idebit [/icard alluding to the relative ease and price of our acquisition compared to the costs and timescales of a new build stadium. Removal of us from the KC is half the battle towards ownership.

If he recalls his loan, I doubt it will cost him anything at all to acquire Rovers. He's always said he fancies just the one rugby club in Hull.
Point is, rich men get what they want. They just find alternative ways of achieving it. Allam doesn't just want, he [ineeds[/i the KC. Always has. The wailings when he 'revealed' the SMC costs and the Johnny Whiteley fiasco were merely the latest battle moves in the war.

You mean financial, or political?
People are making this issue much more straightforward than it is, the sale of a CROWN ASSET would be called in for government consideration, that would lead to an inquiry, that would take at least a year.
VERY rich people get what they want, rich people who make a lot of noise usually end up with a bloody nose.

Financial. Buying FC out of their tenancy wouldn't involve the sale of a crown asset.

| My word, there are some paranoid people on here!
Allam could buy FC with a flick of his debit card? Could he b*llocks. There's a due diligence process he'd have to go through in order to meet criteria, which would include guarantees. Would he be able to guarantee where we play? He wouldn't pass the fit for purpose stage.
On top of that, you have to have someone agree to sell something before you can buy it. Do you really think Pearson would sell the club to Allam?
Not going to happen. The only way he should get his hands on the KC is if he pays a fair price that allows for new community sports facilities to be built. And to be honest, that might work out better for everybody.

Pearson would want to sell 1st and doubt he would anyway...the pieces are falling into place for us now on the pitch and off it and cant see AP walking away.He would be cutting his own throat as were would the revenue come from when the wendyball season finishes if we arent there.Allam is all gob and has got 23.000 sock wearers in a frenzy, lets see what he is like next season when they are getting batterd every week as they need a lot of investment on players.

a sale of the KC to Allam would require the sale of an asset, a change in the tenancy agreement would require the tenants involved to agree (ieicon_razz.gifearson).
the KC cannot be sold, nor can the surrounding area, not without parliamentary intervetion, the tenancy agreement cannot be changed without agreement from City, FC and the Council.
People need to stop believing the trolls, there is more chace of me buying a kebab at mid-day on Hessle Road than there is of Allam buying the KC, or changing the tenancy!
IF the SMC tried to change terms we would have a straight conflict of interest case, and there's enough of us to doneate £500 each to fight it with a top QC.

| What does it really matter if Allam does own the stadium? He only wanted it so he could extend it and build some stuff around it. Is that really a bad thing? Look at the way they decorate the upper tiers at ANZ stadium in Sydney, we could do something similar.
It really isn't the end of the world some make it.
