And as I pointed out on your Diary Thread and got totally misunderstood by one person!! Do not underestimate a team sent out by Himself - we had some great moments under him even though we did not win a thing but not many teams have over the Super League era. My memories of Richie Barnett, Colin Best, Steve Prescott and of course the great man Jason Smith will live a long time.

Mcrae should have won something with the team he had that year.

I would possibly put Tickle in for Chessie there. Chessie was a good player but missed a stack of games in his Hull career, whereas Tickle is also a good player, rarely misses more than 5 minutes a game and is one of the best kickers in the league.

Chester was far better than Tickle imo, but then i guess Chester did have Cooke to put him through huge gaps every game.

Maybe not far better, but I think he was a better allround player

But as Staffs says says missed a lot of games with injuries, so we didnt see him enough.

So in summary most people think Richard Horne is talking complete b0ll0x then?

We were a far better attacking side. The likes of Barnett Senior could attach from deep. Now we cant score from 5 yards out let alone 50.

That's the point, all these people look back with rose tinted glasses at teams that achieved nothing all because it contained quality players. Give me a workmanlike victorious side over an under achieving star studded one any day.
