We've always had dramas at the FC, its part of being a fan. But it has to be said there seems to be a serious lack of joined up thinking throughout the club at the moment!
The timeline on the Mail website just puts it into focus what a God awful farce the whole Reardon saga is.

It seems rather strange that rumours were circulating the city yesterday afternoon that his contract was to be terminated.

There were text messages coming into Empress at 6pm whilst we were playing cards that he had been released.

whereas previously most of the drama in my FC supporting lifetime (David Lloyd aside) was because the club was on the verge of bankruptcy every few years and had to flog any good players. Now we have everything in place to be a top 4 club, but the idiots in charge keep dragging us down.

this is the first time I can remember actually not wanting a season ticket for next season, the entertainment on the pitch (which is what rugby league is at the end of the day) is crap, the board are embarrassing and I can think of better ways to spend £200+ at the moment.

How do we know that his signed contract wasn't subject to meeting certain medical requirements ? Supporters would have been up in arms if we had another Dykes situation with Reardon. I agree as usual that the club have not handled it very well to say the least but the fans can't have it both ways.

Fair play to Simon Pope in that respect shows he's doing his job but as you say the club could have said SOMETHING instead of being economical with the truth.

As for the Mail, they will be trying to placate the Dobbins for the Cockayne spreads.

We will not have to defend or support any decision the courts make he is not our player - Nothing to see now... move on

The bottom line is (in my opinion) the club should never have gone for him due to his injury record alone....we have been burnt before (dykes) but we don't seem to learn from these experiences.

Still , quite how Reardon was fit enough to be included for the saints game , but no longer to the required level now does seem strange.

The HDM can add him the list of injured , missing or released I suppose.

I dont see the problem with signing Reardon his stats show that for Hull he didnt miss a tackle and didn't make an error.

I hope he puts it behind him and gets on with his life, I am sure he will get signed by another club, it was not his fault our board are a set of incompetent idiots

for me the court judgment is in line with common sentencing but for me saints should of sacked him as would any NRL club.

Because according to Warrington when we signed him he was fit for selection.
