Most of the players aren't good enough, but to attract better we need a proven, respected name as head coach. Money is the biggest factor for players when choosing a club, but given a straight choice of playing for a club showing signs of improvement with a respected coach, or a team heading for the Championship with the pub landlord in charge you know who a player will pick.

Indeed, plus with the salary cap system you have to factor in that he will be one of the lowest earners. It's the players like Yeaman who are on big salaries but not performing who are the bigger issue.

I really don't know what Yeaman brings anymore. For the last 3 or 4 years we've carried him because we had no-one else. Yeaman was given a chance when he was young, do the same for Lancaster. Can't hurt.

Yeaman has to be dropped, and for me Micheals doesn't offer much at centre either, if he's going to play he should be on the wing. It's not ideal but I would rather put the bin man and Logan there, maybe even Rankin.

We have options. None of them are brilliant but they are all preferable to what we have put out so far imo.

I'd go for a backline of Lancaster, Talanoa, Logan, Lineham. Yeaman and Michaels aren't long term options for the future, so let's start building a team for the future. Sure it might let in a few more points, but at least it has pace and is something different to watch.
