| You should have being there for the 3rd round '83 CC game when we had 2 sent off and still beat them 10-4, properly nasty bunch of w@nkers, it was ridiculous, though back in those days it wasn't anything that big a deal compared to the soccer tribes.

Just what I said to my son!
He is so predictable. Didn't see him seeking out Watts or Taylor. There again, he's got history of being paggered by Hull props!
On the game, thought Carlos showed some nice touches. Like the way he takes the line on as well. Puts doubt in the defenders mind.
Ellis and Mini are absolutely immense. We've had some good second row partnerships in the past, but these two are becoming my all time favourites!

I've always banged the drum for Talanoa. I'd swap him for very few. He's a freak in many aspects. Unbelievably to me many on here pre season didn't have him in their best 17. Value for money/unheralded wise he's gotta be 1 of the best SL signings in years

| That's some win. Are we definitely in top four now? If so WOW. Our props were very good. Ellis is just Ellis. As for Danny Houghton another great shift but unfortunately for him Bennet gets to see Josh Hodson every week and he's ripping it up. Keep it up boys keep it up

Bailey is an absolute toilet, very unprofessional, just watched the game again it's easier once I know we've won, we didn't even complete half of our sets, both teams hitting the ball out, which I thought the ref could have gone to the screen & penalised for, maybe it could have stopped half the so called errors, I think Carlos defends very well too, great effort in defence from all our team, we never looked nervous near our line which is a very positive thing especially playing one of the top four, no massive injuries other then sikas calf. 2 points again, with 8 days off till cas away, who are a team capable of an upset & one of the teams we owe!

| Best defensive performance all season and possible the last 10 years or so, the fact that a good attacking side like Warrington only scored two try's from when we had the ball and only created one chance all day shows how good we were.
Obviously we were poor with the ball in hand for most and dumb at time, Shaul was a shocking kicking in the first, Fonua offloading and a two of forward passes, but when we held the ball we looked the better side.
Agreed the about Talanoa, start of the season I posted about future recruitment saying we should look to release Talanoa, I was wrong.
Loving being a hull fan at the moment.

First time I went was when Greg Mackey left us to sign for them, our fans was giving him loads as they warmed up, I asked my dad what was he getting ragged for, he said Greg was meant to be going back home & signed for them.

He had a very good defensive game including dislodging the ball in tackles. One on Ormsby led to the Ellis try following the resultant scrum.
The game in general was an errorathon and could have taken a different turn if Clarke had taken his chance with the line wide open.
Look forward to the next clash between the 2 sides.

| The sign of a champion side is one that can win ugly, and wins don't come much uglier than ours last night.
The work rate, commitment and self belief shown last night (mirroring recent weeks) was absolutely fantastic. The error rate may have been a tad too high for all concerned, but we can have no doubts about this team's desire to win games and their hunger for the battle.
There was a thread on here a few weeks back entitled "Do You Believe?". With every passing week that belief grows stronger that maybe, just maybe, we could be witnessing one of the great seasons in the club's history.
Because I've had my fingers burnt too many times in my many years of supporting the club, I'm almost too scared to even contemplate what might potentially happen in the coming months. The scale of possible achievement is almost too much to comprehend after nigh on a decade of floundering underachievement.
I keep waiting for the wheels to fall off (this is Hull Fc we're talking about after all!), but somehow it isn't happening. In it's own tortuous way, last night's victory was the stuff of (potential) Champions. There are still plenty of mighty battles to be won before any crowns are claimed, but we're in there, in the mix, fighting it out at the top of the table and after what has seemed like an eternity of wondering if these days will ever come 'round again, the excitement of what potentially the second half of 2016 could bring is almost too much to bear for this tired old cynical 50+ old chap!
Let's strap ourselves in and prepare for what could just be the ride of our lives, heaven knows we've earnt the right to enjoy ourselves just a little for once.
One final point; if our wildest dreams do come to pass between now and October, then one Gareth Ellis will join Whiteley, Norton, Sterling and Sullivan in the Fc Hall of Fame. Even by his standards, the guy was absolutely immense in his belief, effort and desire to take his team with him over the finishing line last night.

Danny Houghton sang it from the heart.
In his aftermatch interview, Sneyd alluded to a new ball? He said it was very greasy/slippery and accounted for a lot of the mistakes. Is this a new type of ball they've introduced. Remember the last time the slimmer ball was introduced, a lot of teams had problems?
This team just keep getting better and better
