agreed, I have no issue with Cusack, but he should never have been signed, a waste of a quota spot IMHO.

This season has been a year too far but i think we got great value out of him prior to that. I was more confused that we'd have Cusack, Radders and Dowes in the same side. I'd have been more comfortable if Dowes was cut loose when we signed Cusack.

I'd say he's been better than Dowes. Dowes is a poor mans Yak IMO and although his workrate is comparable, Yak always seemed to win the collision and get a good PTB which is something that evades all our current props.

Most recognise (incl Yak) that this has been a season to far, the previous two seasons he was very good for us.

The thing with Yak is he looks like a boxer,but performs like a ballerina.

Strange thing to say about a prop who has being a part of a GF reaching side 4 times and a premiership winning side.

A year too far perhaps but did well in 2008 and 2009 despite overall poor results. He was a great professional and some other players in his time at the club could learn a few lessons from him.

And you are dafter than the pair of them if you think we have looked a better outfit when Cusack was in the side this season.

It is traditional to thank a player for his time at the club, yes he has been paid but he has been one of the few in recent years to act like a true professional throughout his time.

The one thing i will say is that other than this year he's been an absolute rock in defence. Whether you like Yak or not you must be able to appreciate his defensive work and the fact that he completed tackles one on one where we'd have usually needed 2 or 3 defenders. He physically had the size to hurt people but seems to have lost it this year.

He's a professional sportsman, I wouldn't expect anything other than professionalism. He's just been an average player at the club imo, done a decent job since he's been here and I appreciate the effort. We don't thank every player that leaves I just wonder why he deserves a special mention.

Exactly the point I was making, but it seems somebody had a problem with that.

He does seem to have lost some weight this year, but I don't ever think he was a typical prop's size TBH. He's always reminded me of McNicholas physically, but seemed to do more with the weight he had. That's why he struggled this year IMO, he didn't seem to have the energy to make up for the lack of build any more.

Your point is evidenced perfectly by the fact he gets lifted and dumped on his backside most times he takes the ball up. He must be a stone lighter minimum than last year.

if we had any flair in the halfs at all over the time yak has been here peoples opinions would change about what yak has done for the club. Forwards can only lay a platform. Unfortunatly, becouse most things have been negative especially in the backs division, the work the front men do really goes un noticed
