As for people saying Houghton doesnt get spotted in defence all you could see when Leeds forwards had the ball was Buderus point out Houghton telling them to get at him to win a quick PTB or get a offload due to his poor tackling technique.

Funny that as i watched out for this in the first half and never saw it happen , or them scooting after a Houghton tackle

I agree about our forwards as we tackle in 2's all the time and our first thought is to get the player down instead of holding them up and getting more numbers in.

That said its pointless going on about techinque after contact as our players/coach dont seem to have a clue and its not only when we are defending its when we have the ball as well.

I thought Danny was great today, full of enthusiasm and go-forward. Wish some of the the others had shown the same as him.
Houghton's a great prospect and improving all the time.

Been beaten in this department in almost all games this season. We don't get enough men in - most teams have gone to 3 and 4 this season. We are almost always getting a slower ptb than the opposition. I still wonder about our levels of fitness as the line speed has gone as well from what it was in the first 3 rounds.

I thought it was one of Houghtons best games in an FC shirt.

Great game from Danny today, didnt deserve to be on the losing team!! Unfortunately too many of the other players looked like they had a bad case of 'stage-fright'!! Not good enough Hull!!

One thing that stood out for me yesterday and last week at Leeds was that Houghton is invariably in a position to take an offload out of the tackle. This makes a change from everyone stood about looking confused.

He has started to show some sign of maturing and played well in recent weeks.

he knows this is now his big chance.
