I'm afraid that isn't soon enough for me, I want him gone now. He won't be getting any support from me no matter what happens from now on, I'm done with him. He's been a complete failure on all levels.

Same here, cant be soon enough for me, i want him out this club, and the rest of the coaching staff can go with him, a new regime is needed, iv had more than enough, but you all know we will beat Leeds in the CC, and probably go on to win it??? then what he gets a lifetime extension????

We've already got a young Aussie coach, well he's an assistant coach actually but that would fit right in with our modus operandi

On what grounds do you want to say no to Paul Anderson who has served as Assistant to some cracking Head Coaches to have instead a 'young Aussie Coach'??

Just because Australia produces lots of good Coaches grabbing some Young Aussie is not going to end all of the problems at the Club. There is so much deep rooted stuff a magician would have trouble sorting it out.


Can you imagine Chelsea fans shouting out 'we dont want Harry Redknapp, just get us a Young Italian Coach'?

The best man for the job will be the guy who is lucky enough to take over when the current set of bandits running the club have buggered off.

I think you'll find you are wrong, there are no coaches available. Our own Chief Exec said so on the radio.

I'd take almost anyone else right now, well not Cullen or McNamara but most others.

I think Noble would be a great coup for us and would get us back challenging. Of course coaches like Bluey and Daniel Anderson would be nice but I don't see much chance with either of those.

Noble is sat there doing nothing to a large extent so seems the obvious choice.

The Cup run might be Agar's salvation.
If Agar is still in charge next year, we'll be down to sub 10K crowds.

Working as a no.2 to a great coach does not always mean they assistant will be any good. If I were a Hudds or Wigan fan I would not want either of the assistants to take over.

We could be down to that at the end of the season.

Agar still in charge and no scrum half would probably make my mind up for me.

I agree but what makes a Young Australian a great Coach?

That's why Hudds. & Wigan currently have a winning culture at their club.
They are pro-active in seeking out the best man for the job. Not just someone who happens to be the assistant at the time.
It's funny how Wigan binned Noble (despite nearly taking them to a couple of Grand Finals) for not acheiving success, & yet some would be overjoyed if we appointed him.
If Agar had acheived what Noble did at Wigan, Agar would have a job for life at FC. That's the difference.

Shortly after the Wakefield game IIRC, when the animosity was at it's peak. Was asked the usual thing about whether or not the board were considering the head coach position and quickly fired off his absolutely not bit followed by the fact that there were no coaches freely available anyway.

Obviously apart from the west yorkshire bloke on super league show who did everything but dance around with his hand in the air shouting "ME! I CAN DO IT! PICK ME!" every week around the same time. My favourite being his analysis of us which started with "I'm not one to question a super league head coach and tell them what they should be doing..." but then did and spoke perfect sense listing several of the blatantly obvious frailties we have that are discussed on here on a regular basis.

I agree with others, I expect to see Obst as our first choice scrum half for next year.
