Wakefield at home last season was the lowest I have felt as a Hull fan in the post-merger era. The game was awful, the weather was freezing, we'd just panic bought Sam Obst such was our desperation to have a fit half-back, and it felt like we were stuck with Agar, Kath and Rule for life.

How people can still be moaning one year on I don't know, the club is in far better shape both on and off the field.

I am 100% a Hull F.C fan, my first game was Hull v Saint Helens at the boulevard. 1999 season i think, we got beat.

Rovers were playing a side that are so poor that they haven't even won a competitive game since last June/July.

Wigan were behind at half-time and are a top2 team, do you really expect Hull to be matching Wigan's attack with the players we have in the squad?

Agree and think had he just kicked it dead we would have nilled Wakey but they got a bit of energy from that and we lost a little. Thought we pretty much played the game in 2nd gear really and lacked some intensity.

Gentle summed up the game spot on, when asked about the kicking game and his reply of 'It was OK' with a sigh spoke volumes as to his disappointment in it and play in general. He still hasn't repeated the same old tripe after each game but given honest views on whats good and not so good.

Think we will be much better as season progresses and the weather improves for a more expansive game.

Personally think we are missing Heremia more than some think...we have had Nicklas and Ellis today covering and you can see the intensity drop off and the options become slower.Ellis showed some good touches but also his naivety...he kicked from acting hlf on the 4th tackle,right to mathers,who got the penalty to which they scored from.....should have played the set out and had a deeper kick.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing if we had taken the 4 penalties that was near the post it would have been another 8 points .It was that type of game were you go for point on the board .(We) Hull didn't
