I'd have Berro nowhere near the halves.

Horney should have always been a full back for me. He doesnt have the natural abilities to play 6 such as a passing game and a kicking game.

I think a Berro and Long combo would be something special.

May be, im not convinced. Ive been one of Berro's biggest critics on here and arent convinced he should play in a pivotal role at the minute. Yes he is a class and and he shows glimpses of brilliance but too inconsistently to be relied upon as a pivot for me. Thats why im torn between him playing 9 or centre. He may well be our answer to centre if Lee and Houghton share 9 and we bring a 6 in to play next to Long.

That would get my vote, Horne is struggling with his weight I think, that seems to be affecting him a lot this season.

Playing behind a plodding/beaten pack with poor coaching can't help either.

Combination of the injury from last season, the new diet and playing behind a beaten pack for me. Playing behind a better pack ad with a top SH will help Horne a lot and he will also know more about his illness for next season too.

But at Saints Longy has plenty of dummy runners, a quality 6 next to him and a team full of game breakers. At Hull we have none of them.

I am fairly sure Long will have an input into how we play and will insist on having more runners etc. I think he will be given free reign to run things when we have the ball in hand.

I can't see us going too far away from the boring we play now tbh. Yes our attack will be better with Long here, but I can't see us having dummy runners all over the shop like saints do. Our team is just full of lazy b.stards to even bother been a dummy runner.

One quote I did like from Scully a few years ago was that Saints don't have any dummy runners, there all options. We is obvious just teams like us don't see it that way. Ffs were lucky if we have one option when were attacking!

A lot of the lazy barstewards won't be here next season with any luck. And a large part of it is the group ethos/dynamic. We'll have players next season who will work their nuts off and know how to run lines etc. That's going to help a lot right there.
