He got through loads of defence when he was playing through the middle, set up an important try at an important time, and plugged a gap that no one else in the 17 could have plugged. And he scored a try of his own. Thought the first penalty was harsh, too. |

As I say, he did work hard, but so did others in defence. He also offloaded a few times. The try setup & plugging a gap he did very well, but whilst in the forwards I did think that he was quite sloppy at times. He also got fair warning from Thaler for the penalty and didn't let go, his own fault.
Like I say, didn't have a bad game, but very good is an exaggeration. You said yourself that our forwards were being dominated to stop the halfbacks from playing and he was part of that pack without IMO looking much (if any) better than most of them. |

I thought he was our best forward overall and did well in the backs. He's never been the type of forward to bust gaps, so he wouldn't have had a huge effect on our go forward. Thought all the props were poor, and Ellis was below where he's been the past few weeks. |
