The fitness seems to have gone up a few levels too.

Can’t say how big a difference it has made bringing in a quality and experienced head coach. He’s taken a group of individuals that haven’t put in any kind of performance for 2 or 3 seasons and brought them together of a team.

He was steady today. Some good runs in the second half bending the line. Showed a lot more than Lane has done recently and he's not even fully match fit.
Fully agree, hope whatever the issue was has been put to bed and he can get back to playing good rugby.

Maybe he was just genuinely injured and all the rumours of a fallout were nonsense?

This. No more assistants learning on the job! He's dropped players at the right time, while keeping faith with others at the right times.

Having a spine of Hoy, Clifford and Trueman who are young a big difference too.

Hmm not sure, Smith's update that he had a bad hand but there were performance issues was still odd the other week, and generally teams strap hands up and tell them to get out there. But anyway a good performance and hopefully he keeps that up and wins a contract.
