Smith hasnt guessed, hes being let down again by the players who are doing it to the 4th head coach.

Im not sure Smith will take us to silverware over the next few years. However the players have to go, Pearson has given them a sense of player power and managed the cap in a way that we have 20 ooc.

If Clifford's out for any length, we must bring in a halfback.

Honestly I wouldn't either play Shaul, past it, lost his speed and poor under the high ball. But at least give him some time in the reserves.

Litten has played well at FB in pre season, reserves and in the first team when asked, he is the future, he deserves his chance.

Same with Gardnier or Brown before Evans.

Simply not good enough in any aspect across the whole aspect from players to the coaches. Granted Smiths hands are tied this season but some of the selections beggar belief and we are eorse thdn last season which takes some doing. I really have to question what is actually worked on in training as we are the most disorganised outfit I’ve ever seen out there. We can’t defend or rather can’t be d to defend, we are so thick out on the field it’s embarrassing, we can’t even finish a set off as we are so unorganised and end up simply handing the ball over. Think biggest part is the players that need to be cut from the club but we don’t seem to be able to grasp the basics of the game.

Still think Smith will turn it round next season but don’t think Pearson can afford to keep 5 or 6 of this group beyond the next week or two as they are just causing to much rot.


The players should he ashamed of themselves for pitiful performances like today but they won’t be as it just the norm for them.

Time for Smith to wield the axe big time, as trying to salvage the season with the so called senior group is laughable. Even the likes of Satae and Sao aren’t even cutting it to add to the usual names. There’s just far too many regularly in the 17 that shouldnt even be in the 21 man squads.

AP and Clarke are very much culpable for allowing the playing squad to go so far backwards so quickly instead of building on 2016/17.

We all knew this season was going to be tough due the obvious reasons but there is just no excuse for the embarrassing and pathetic effort from these so called professionals.

I don’t think I’ve ever been so disillusioned or disheartened by this club.

I know you are going to say i'm a rovers fan gloating but during the week, I spoke to someone who works at Hull who told me, the problem is that the players wont listen to Smith. Honestly they need to get rid of those players and Hull will be a lot better team. I just hope Pearson doesn't have a knee jerk reaction and sack him. If they back him then Hull will become a great team to watch like Rovers were underneath him.

Smith got his selection wrong to imo, Shaul clearly not match fit and ĺost pace, experience counts for nothing if you have lost them , Litten done nothing wrong to be dropped, macintosh I'd have nowhere near the first team atm, just have no confidence in him, leaving Savellio out was a big call..but Evans over him???

These players have been poor under several coaches now and need to be paid off if that is their attitude.

The 1st half today showed that even when they put the effort in most of them simply aren't up to it. Not big, fast or creative enough and the amount of dropped balls on a dry day was ridiculous.

Evans is so shiiiit we look miles better when he goes hiding after his 2 or 3 runs. How Brown hasn’t had a run over him beggars belief.

The coach isnt the problem. Proof is in the pudding 4 head coaches same results with virtually same core of the squad.

Over 30 times conceding 50+ points, thats not coaching thats the ability of the players. The older they get the worse they get.

I said when Smith was appointed he wouldnt change this squad. The players arent good enough and that is fact. Craig Bellamy wouldnt change the tide here.

Too much sentiment contract wise in that team too many who were given another few years just because they have always been there, and everyone know that security in sport breeds complacency.

That was a humiliation, the third this season already, our end of season form has been transferred to the beginning of the season and once again as far as the club is concerned the tail is wagging the dog. Rovers have bïlt a team over the last 4 years or so whilst we have hung onto players, rewarded loyalty and showed too much sentiment and in fact gone backwards. We'll get a load of valiant in defence and hard working skits again this week but there is now really only one answer and I don't know how financially or player availability wise we can have a clear out mid season. No one has ever had one of the magnitude that we need mid campaign but at the fc at present never has spare the rod and spoil the child been so appropriate.

Sure there was some effort there but the lack of pace, the dumb rugby, poor end of sets and body language says it all for me. We'll always support them and will always be behind them and with that we as fans lead by example because that's what we do whatever is going on on the pitch , its just a pity that we don't see the same commitment and dedication reflected on the field .

Likes of Houghton mcintosh mcnamara Lane Evans are far worse and should be out the door before shaul

Appaling again from Hull. An absolute rabble. Shaul is finished as a Super League player, Evans is a liability. Not many came out with any credit at all.

Tony Smith retains my support but obviously the wins need to start coming soon.

He was jabbed up and running about at half time. Didn’t look too bad.

Fair play to Clifford he spent most of half time testing his fitness but he clearly had no chance of returning. Pity the rest didn't show that attitude.

He was having a fitness test all of half time, so that for me made it seem it wasn't too bad as they seemed to be considering putting him back on.

Absolutely. He cannot be absolved from blame for that performance but he's working with the poorest squad we've had in SL. Not just in terms of quality but effort.

If an experienced coach like Smith who has improved every team he's coached at cannot turn this around I don't know who can.
