For those that said we shouldn't sign Myler after his performance last night, take a look a Tom Briscoe tonight. Error prone player who will never be good enough for the NRL. Overrated.

Pathetic performance from minute 1, Briscoe being the worst player on the park by a long long way but 17 Widnes played better than any Hull player!!

He's had an awful night, but be fair you can count on one hand the amount of poor games Briscoe has had for Hull over the years. I'm sure he'll be back to his best next time out.

I think he's been poor most of this season .

I disagree, he's had a different centre partner just about every week, and our halves have created absolutely nothing for the backs to finish.

Nothing to do with service etc but his all round game has been poor apart from a few games . His passing is very average for a supposed world class player , like most of our players .

This is my actual point. I struggle to count on 10 hands. Briscoe makes alot of errors, ALOT... He's had so much smoke blown up his it's unreal. He is not as spectacular as people would like to think.

Briscoe is a superb player for the Super League. The NRL will make or break him. Still think he will have two years in Oz, then sign for the Whinos. Hope I'm wrong.

Yes, but we're talking about Tom here and its like Christmas time for trolls. He has one poor game (like the rest of the team) and all of a sudden the knives are out for him.

Heard you the first time , and I'll remember that about wingers not having to pass properly in the future . It's called doing the basics right .

First off, i'd like to congratulate widnes on there performance tonight, they wanted it more then us.
Secondly, I think tom is a great player, yes he dropped lots of balls tonight but owel it happens, and regarding his passing, he's a winger they don't need to pass just finish.

Lastly, there's no point singling out players for tonight. The entire team played awful and all need to take a look at themselves. It's a team sport.

You don't sign a winger because he has brilliant hands and be able to make defence splitting passes. Just like you don't sign a half back and expect them to tackle like Richard Swain. You expect them to be able to do them but wingers aren't known for passing are they.
This is another reason why he will stay as a winger and not become a fullback or move to the centres like alot of posters were crying out for a year or so ago.

What I'm saying is Tom is a very good winger but nowhere near world class like some make out . He still has a lot to work on in his game and he has quite a few flaws that need sorting . His passing , reading of the game at times and decision making are just a few .
