Did I miss some-thing I do not recall him promising any-thing, I recall him making a statement after last years derby in relation to players however players have been contracted and it appears he is sticking to his word and not renewing contracts as they expire. I apologise if I am wrong and he did promise us things.

With 12 internationals in the squad, a lot better than 4th from bottom!

Ive never understood the argument that it isnt Agars team so he cant be held responsible, but for those that do, do you think that he should be given a 2 year extension to his contract regardless of how we perform next season, so that he will be playing with a full squad of players that he has brought to the club, or extended there contracts under him? If so fair play, but I dont think we can afford to wait that long to see how things pan out.

And if we could of had them fit for any length of time this season I would of expected more too.

Not at all, with the ammount of player movement that is expected this off season there is no doubting it will be his team next year, I'm more inclined to go with Agar just because if we'd of got rid we would of got a false reaction from our players to a new coach(as always happens) resulting in players getting extensions and the problem unsolved, at least this way if we let agar get rid of the problem and he still fails to perform and is sacked or resigns at least our club will be in a better state playing wise.

Yep I think they will get the message sooner or later, hopefully they will have learned there lesson and make a better appointment next time.

I can see your point, but I dont think it is a difficult job to see what players Hull need to lose (although a couple of them seem to be highly regarded by Agar if his team selections are anything to go by) any decent coach would have just as big if not bigger clearout, and as a bonus actually be able to handle interchanges properly, at least have a plan B instead of just 5 drives and a second phase in attack and a better structure in general.

He has come through the ranks of rl to become coach of one of the biggest clubs in sl, I would suggest he's become more of a success than most.

A season of redemption, exciting attacking play, surprise people, not setting any targets but confident....

Don't get me wrong, my expectations for this season were pretty modest (although we've managed to fall short even of those). I never felt we were going to do better than mid-table even with luck and a following wind. But Agar said he'd deliver much more than he has.

And yes, I do realise that coaches tend to talk up the team in the press. But if Agar thought this was going to be a season of transition he would have been better advised to play things down.

I've been a dedicated fan for over 30 years mate but I know that agar isn't up to the job and needs to go for the club to move forward. All the positivity in the world won't turn him into a top class coach
