I can't say i,ve tried that many different takeaways but i get jolsha a lot and is always very good.
only problem i have is with the twin brothers who work/own? it, i've had a conversation with one of em then he's gone in the kitchen and when he came back out i tried to carry on the same conversation only to bet met by a strange look! didn't realise it was the other brother



the indian hawke, also Hessle. ( formerly the admiral pub) is a decent restaurant value and taste wise but service is very hit and miss.

Know what you mean mate, its the same when they deliver, one will turn up you'll have a chat with hiw, see him the next time and he looks at you as if your p****d

If you're ever in East Yorkshire, there's a quality one in Howden called 'Zolsha'. Been quite a few times, always had a great meal.

having not lived in the area for about 9 years now, things might be very different but Alishaans on Hallgate in Cottingham used to be exceptional.

This has to be one of my favourite all time threads already. Almost as good as the cheerleader thread and the abi titmuss thread. Can we have some photo's of currys please?

Alishaans in Cottingham is still very good and I'm another fan of Raj Pavillion.

I've been to Mirchi in Beverley a couple of times and really enjoyed it.

We love Raj Pavillion and have been a few times for special occasions, not cheap but well worth it.

For a cheap and very good value night out on a Monday or Thursday you can't beat The Last Viceroy on Beverley Road near the Queens Road junction. 5 courses for £6.95 and the food's excellent

Gets very busy so I would advise booking.

dont know if its an urban myth but raj gate (holderness road near mill, think the names changed now), i heard they used to do a curry called "the cobra" and its supposed to be the hottest ruby ever and if you eat the lot you dont have to pay...If true i reckon i'd suceed easily

gotta agree with this. Fantastic curry house it be.

the one in barton on humber is supposed to be a bit special for anyone who wants to pay the £50 or so to go across the bridge and back

Maharajah on Holderness road does an excellent curry.

The Madras on Anlaby Road does a great deal on a Monday night of 5 courses for about 8 quid I think. It's not exceptional curry but it's very nice and great value for money.
