He's a grown man for goodness sake! Are the club expected to be responsible for everything, do they check he wipes his backside properly!
If I asked one of our staff to go abroad for business I might, probably half joking, ask if they had a passport but I certainly wouldn't ask to see it. By all means blame the club for things that are their responsibillity but when did the players (and society in general but thats a different issue!) give up all personal responsibility for their actions

You don't need the passport to book the flights, you do need it to gain entry, Manu's responsibility, not FC's.

You need the passport details when you check in online or show it at the airport. I would have thought they would have checked in beforehand and not just stood in line and taken pot luck on their seats.
