It was wrong IMO due to a number of reasons; Alibert isn't a good referee at the best of times and having him officiate a French side puts him under pressure from the fans from the off and as we saw last night he doesn't respond very well to it.
Also don't forget Catalans are playing in the 'British' Super League.

There's also the fact that their players can shout, "Forward pass" in French and ours can't. My main gripe though is that his mother Is a hamster and his father smells of elderberries.

Ganson shouldnt be allowed to ref Sts games and same should go for Halibut reffing the French....do it that way and we then dont get stuff like this.

Halibut was truly awful missed loads for both teams but was willing to do us more for lying on than the frogs.

The fact that he simply isn't up to SL standard and in fact would probably struggle to ref two pub sides is the problem. His nationality and which teams he attempts to referee is inconsequential.

I'm not that fussed who refs the game as long as he is fair and capable.

I always sit near the away end most games apart from when we play Quins and Catalans due to the non existant away following so last night I was at the other end and all I can say is never again, the amount of so called Hull fans sat there screaming abuse, wait for it... at the Hull players, "hull your F@@@ing S@@t", "Longy your S@@t"...Why do some people pay the money to get in, pay for shirts ect, go to the game and scream abuse at their own players...Absolute morons!!!

If the Ref had been from Hull and was a big Hull F C fan should he be allowed to ref any Hull games

How far do you take the idea that a ref might be biased in favour of a particular club? You might say Ganson shouldn't ref Wigan or Warrington games as they are Saints' big local rivals.

You wouldn't take it that far, just Ganson can't referee St Helens, Bentham can't ref Warrington, Thaler can't ref Wakefield.
